The mission of the Division of Road-Building and Agricultural Vehicles is: - To become a major company producing, selling and maintaining vehicles in primary world markets- Grounding on the national production knowledge and international cooperation, to meet the requirements of customers in the widest possible range of reliable construction, commercial and municipal vehicles attended throughout the lifecycle
Uralvagonzavod was put in into service in 1936 as the plant producing freight wagons. During World War II the plant started building tanks and some other military products. In 1990s to convert the military production, the plant organized manufacture of wheeled tractors, tracked and wheeled excavators, and skid steer loaders.
Research and Production Corporation “URALVAGONZAVOD” is the largest machine-building complex incorporating 22 enterprises, research institutes, and design offices of Russia and Europe.
In three years the investments into the Division development will make 18 to 20 billion rubles, of them 13 to 15 billion will be invested into the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant. The upgradation of the Chelyabinsk facilities will not be a targeted, but comprehensive one covering the processing chains of both engines and vehicles. This activity will result in increasing the volume of the Division sales up to 30-40 billion rubles.
The Division challenges the following: - Considerable increase in product export- Large-scale re-equipment and modernizationApart from the modernization, much attention is paid to the improvement of working conditions and production standards. Rationalization activity is boosted as well. The core of the Division is the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant. It was designed for mass production of turnaround crawler tractors (including engines) and was put into service in 1933. The years 1940 to 1988 saw the tank production as well.
In 1957, the tank was taken as a base for designing heavy-duty tractor ДЭТ-250. The tractor with some engineering changes is produced up to this day. The plant production capacity was 30 thousand vehicles a year. In early 1990s, only two models were manufactured at a time: medium tractor T-170 (earlier T-130) and heavy-duty tractor ДЭТ-250М. Medium tractors were supplied to numerous mechanical plants, where they were equipped with implements and further sold to end-users.
To widen the range of the ChTZ products and involve the Division dealer network in selling them, the excavator and skid steer loader production facilities are scheduled for shifting to the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant.

RIPPER-DOZER
The T10M tractor-based dozer is designed to carry out a wide range of operations in construction, land improvement, metal mining, oil and gas industries, and in other manufacturing sectors, to excavate soils of categories I-IV, frozen and rocky soils included. The T10MБ tractor-based dozer has reduced ground pressure.The T10M2 tractor-based dozer features hydromechanical transmission, planetary final drive, and offset swing axis of track frames.The T10M tractor-based family of dozers provides the optimum choice of configurations depending on the operating conditions and nature of works:
• Mechanical transmission features higher performance factor and repairability.• Hydromechanical transmission provides high efficiency and user friendliness. • Planetary final drive and offset swing axis of track frames extend the service life of the power train for
operation with higher efficiency on heavy soils. • Swamp modification is designed to operate on low-load-bearing capacity soils.• Dozer implements: bulldozing kit, ripper, recovery winch, etc.

RIPPER-DOZER
Dozer Б11 is designed to carry out a wide range of operations in construction, land improvement, metal mining, oil and gas industries, and in other manufacturing sectors, to excavate soils of categories I-III without preparatory ripping and soils of category IV with preparatory ripping. Dozer Б11 combines the most advanced and effective features of the Б10М dozer with the latest engineering solutions:
• Hydromechanical transmission with modular planetary final drive and offset swing axis of track frames to extend the power train life, to provide high efficiency, and to make the dozer user friendly
• The dozer carries frame hexagon cab with twindow insulating units to provide better noise, heat and vibration insulation to make the operator comfortable at his station.
• For convenience in maintenance, the ROPS-FOPS cab is tilted backward by the hydraulic ram.• The dozer has an ingenious design with the use of high-impact plastic of the cab and hood.

Dozer Б14 is designed to carry out a wide range of operations in construction, land improvement, metal mining, oil and gas industries, and in other manufacturing sectors, to excavate soils of categories I-III without preparatory ripping and soils of category IV with preparatory ripping. Dozer Б14 is heavier and more powerful than dozer Б10M. It implements the latest design and engineering solutions to improve operability and maintainability. The engine with increased power, hydromechanical transmission with modular planetary final drive and offset swing axis, frames with 7 road wheels and wide track shoes, bigger dozer blade provide high efficiency of operation on heavy soils.The dozer carries frame hexagon cab with integrated ROPS-FOPS protection with twindow insulating units to provide better noise, heat and vibration insulation. For convenience in maintenance, the cab is tilted backward by the hydraulic ram to make the operator comfortable at his station. ДЭТDIZEL-ELECTRIC DOZER WITH AC ELECTRIC MACHINES
Industrial tractor of drawbar category 25 with electromechanical transmission is designed to carry out a wide range of operations in construction, metal mining, oil-and-gas and coal industries, and in other manufacturing sectors, to excavate soils of categories I-IV, frozen and rocky soils included. It is the first tractor in the world with valve-inductor AC electric machines in the transmission. Electromechanical transmission automatically maintains rating of the engine, provides high production and performance, and saves fuel. The dozer operates reliably at high humidity. The resilient torsion-bar suspension of all road wheels enables to take advantage of full tractor tractive force and to use higher speeds thus, increasing the dozer efficiency.

TO CARRY OUT WIDE RANGE OF LOADING OPERATIONS
The loaders are designed with regard to all advanced requirements, are fitted with unique equipment, feature modern design and carry comfortable ROPS-FOPS cab. The family of front-end wheel loaders provide the optimum choice of configurations depending on the operating conditions and nature of works: from municipal engineering operations to excavation. The loader reliability is supported by the use of the latest-generation components from the best world manufacturers. The loaders feature hydromechanical transmission with manual and automatic gear shifting on load, electronic control and diagnostic systems of the German make, hydraulic units from Denmark and Italy. ТРTO TRANSPORT AND LAY PIPELINES
Pipelayer cranes are designed to transport and lay pipelines up to 720 mm and up to 1020 mm across in trenches, to support cleanout and coating machines, to carry out various materials handling on usual and low-load-bearing capacity soils. The pipelayer cranes are equipped with safety devices meeting the current standard requirements. The pipelayer cranes are made on the base of a special tractor modification. Wider gauge and longer ground contacting area of tracks with wide track shoes provide less specific ground pressure and higher stability of crane during lifting operations. Thanks to change in the power train design of the base tractor, the first speed is reduced.To make pipe laying more accurate and to reduce dynamical loads in the pipelayer mechanical drive, the minimum loaded luffing speed was reduced and the unloaded luffing speed was increased. The use of hydrostatic drive provides smooth and stepless hook and crane speeds within the whole range.
