Welcome!!!The activities office welcome you back to the new school year. Once again we are pleased to present a broad and balanced range of offerings. This booklet is a summary of the first trimesters’ program. There are some terrific opportunities on offer and we urge students to get involved.
Students should sign up on the school net activities page. Although the activities trimester runs through Nov 19th to March 10th some activities have irregular schedules. For more information on these please check the description or consult with the advisor.

US STUCO (Upper School Student Council)Meeting Days: Monday lunch time in Rm 238The Upper Student Council (STUCO) is a student led organisation representing the student body and their opinions. The purpose of STUCO is to help organise student life at ISP, serve as a forum for student opinion, provide a channel for suggestions to the school administration, and support the student body in many ways, such as funding their personal or CAS projects. The DofE can be a life-changing adventure promoting independence and organization.
Works in tandem with CAS, culminating in an overnight camping journey.

Knitting for a needEvery winter here in Prague homeless people struggle in the cold or even die of hypothermia. In this club we knit gloves,
hats and scarves to help them. Knitting is a simple skill that is fun, relaxing and easy to learn. This club is for Upper and
Middle school students with no previous experience necessary. All needles and wool is provided. We meet

Engineering ClubEngineering Club has meetings twice a week, every Monday lunch and Tuesdays after school in the Idea Lab. It is a student-led, collaborative club that primarily focuses on independent engineering projects. You don’t need any special experience to join - just be interested in making things.Examples are: building an augmented reality sandbox, putting together an aluminum-melting furnace and attending contests of sterling engines! ISP Dance CrewHey guys! We welcome all students regardless of grade level or dance experience! We mostly do dance covers based on K-pop songs but we are also open to English songs as well. Speech and Debate meet once a week after school and are involved in competitions around the region. We participate in events hosted by the Central Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA) , the New European Speech Debate and Acting Association (NESDA) and also locally hosted events.Sign up: Upper School Bulletin

Modern DanceStudents will explore more advanced movement patterns based on various styles of modern dance, including modern jazz, street dance, lyrical dance etc. The whole class will be structured to include warm-up, stretching, strength building, choreography building and free dance expression. Fun movement will be complemented by an introduction to correct posture, body awareness and care. Dance students will perform for ISP students and parents. Amnesty International ClubAmnesty International is a global movement of people who campaign for a world where human rights are enjoyed by all. Through Amnesty’s detailed research and determined campaigning we help fight the abuses of human
rights worldwide. Amnesty meets once a month during lunch in Ms Fleming’s room.

You need to have at least two years of playing experience or permission from the band director. If you’re more advanced in your skills, we’ll challenge you to grow further. MUN is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda. Students role play countries and attempt to represent their views in formal debate of international issues. Math ClubThe Math Club meets Thursdays after school in
Mr. Richard’ room. Mathletes are trained to compete in the CEESA Math competition as well

IHEART for HELPThis club focuses on advocating for refugees and
supporting related causes through; fundraisers, events and more. We work closely with CSC and will be
working with the Happy caravan project. We host a refugee awareness week and are always looking for

Creative Writing ClubWith a weekly prompt we will be hosting Creative
Writing competitions. Various activities, sharing of
stories and writing skills will take place during the
club. Stories can be submitted to the Falcon post,
make it to our e-book or even be used as an addition
to your resume.

**SpectrumSpectrum is a club devoted to raising awareness
about issues surrounding gender and sexuality. We
engage in advocacy within and outside ISP as well as
provide a supportive community to people in the
club. We organize events such as Ally Week, which is
held annually in the spring. The rest of the time we
will be having discussions and engaging in issues
surrounding gender and sexuality. This club is open
to anyone who’s interested. Meetings are Fridays
during lunchtime in room 235.

Pair Up ClubMeeting days: occasional check-in meetings during lunchtime
Start Date: TBC - will be announced after WWW - during one of the
assemblies. Pair Up is a club where Upper School students are paired
with Elementary School students to help them with any type of
schoolwork while they can also play (educational) games to make
learning a fun experience. This club is a great place for the US students
to give back to the community and more importantly to have a chance to
become a “role model” that the ES student could look up to.
