This group of five relay assemblers was placed under observation on November 26, 1928. This project is to be carried on in correlation with the study being made in the relay test room, A base period was set up on the output data available for five weeks (Aug. 27, 1928 to Sept. 29, 1928). Three of the operators selected, Clock No's. 9, 20 and 30, had complete data for the full period, while the remaining two Clock No's. 54 and 597, had only two weeks and one week respectively. This was due to their having been recently placed in the regular assem, gang from the raise. gang. JOT the purpose of comparison of percentages of efficiency, and totals of output, table curves and other data are being originated that will afford these comparisons. These are set up in terms of piece parts as the basic units. A comparison of earnings will be established also. These figures will be available monthly as the gang piece work is figured on a monthly basis* A base period is being set up showing the average hourly earning of the gang over a five week period. The fluctuation in this figure will be shown each month as well as the percentage increase or decrease.
