You will learn to: • describe the foundations of endodontic success. • explain the concept of anatomic shaping. • triage basic and advanced cases and apply the correct

instrumentation for each case. • apply two different instrumentation techniques for managing different

canal anatomies (conventional and 3D). • recognize the benefits of sealer based obturation using bioceramics. • identify the various applications of ultrasonics. • utilize integrated apex locator handpiece technology. • place posts using a matching post and core system.

EDUCATIONAL METHODS

Illustrated lectures, discussion demonstrations and laboratory exercises.

EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES

Please bring the following items to the course: 1) loupes/safety glasses, and 2) 2-3 extracted teeth with ideal access prepared.

In addition, please bring a file sample from your current rotary system to compare to ESX, a new instrumentation and obturation system that will be introduced during the hands-on session (size 35 is ideal). All other equipment and supplies will be provided by Brasseler USA and the School of Dentistry.

Alex Fleury, DDS, MSDr. Fleury is currently in full-time private practice of Endodontics in Dallas, Texas, and serves as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Dentistry where he works with endodontic residents.

Dr. Fluery previously served as Director of Predoctoral Endodontics for six years at both Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine in Florida and Baylor College of Dentistry. He also served on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Journal of Endodontics, and currently serves as the Director of Educational Resources for Real World Endodontics.

In 2005, Dr. Fluery was the recipient of the “Edward E. Osetek Award” for best new Endodontic Educator of the year by the American Association of Endodontists. Dr. Fleury has received honoraria and material support from Real World Endo® and Brasseler U.S.A.

The Lecture Program only, provides attendees with 4 hours of continuing education credit. Minnesota credits: 4 fundamental. Each hour of attendance is equivalent to one credit (1 hour = 1 credit).
