Announcing our New Priests!

Starting July 1st, we will say farewell to Fr. Ed and Fr. Jamie and

hello to our new Director and Associate Director.

Fr. Larry Rice, CSP, will come in as our new

Director. He is currently serving as Vocations

Director for the Paulist Fathers and has served

previously as Director of the St. Thomas More

Newman Center at Ohio State University in

Columbus, Ohio. Fr. Larry was ordained as a

Paulist Father on May 13, 1989.

Fr. Jimmy Hsu, CSP, will begin as our new

Associate Director. He is currently serving as

Associate Pastor at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic

Community in Los Angeles. Fr. Jimmy is a UT

and UCC alumnus and was ordained as a Paulist

Father two years ago on May 24, 2014 by our

own Bishop Joe Vásquez of the Diocese of Austin.

“The utterances of the prophets concerning the

triumph of the Church upon earth, it may be

said, have not been, by even a strict

interpretation of them, reasonably fulfilled.

Only three hundred millions of the twelve

hundred millions of its inhabitants are

Christians*; and how many of these are merely

nominal ones? What earnest believer in

Christ will accept this willingly as the fruit

of the best, uttermost, and final effort of

Christianity?”

[On the Mission of New Religious Communities, 1876]

* Currently (2016) there are 1.2 billion Catholics in the world, of

approximately 2 billion total Christians, with a world population of about

7 billion.

If you have asked Fr. Hecker to pray for you or for another person who was ill,

and you believe something miraculous has happened, call Fr. Paul Robichaud,

CSP, at (202) 269-2519 and tell him your story.
