SQA Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations (Planning Lifts) This qualification is suitable for supervisors and managers with responsibility for lifting operations (i.e. the Appointed Person) and leads to the Blue CPCS card. It is accessible to those who are interpreting and applying sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the BS 7121 Safe Use of Cranes guidelines. In order to gain this NVQ learners must successfully complete the CPCS appointed person lifting operations course (CPCS Code A61) and already be in possession of the Red CPCS card.
