Thank you for participating in the flight attendant language qualification program. While all flight attendants are responsible for assisting customers, your language qualification requires you to: � Perform all normal flight attendant duties

� Be fluent in the languages you are qualified

� Translate all flight attendant and flight deck safety p.a. announcements after they have been announced in English

� Wear your language bar whenever you are using your qualified language

� Provide translation assistance to:

� Customers who require special assistance, including but not limited to unaccompanied minors and those with questions regarding customs, immigration and international forms

� Flight attendants and customers during duty free sales

� Crew members and other United employees on board aircraft

� Keep in mind that these translated announcements are designed to be a guide. As a language qualified flight attendant, you have demonstrated you have the ability and knowledge to translate announcements and communicate in the language in which you are qualified.

� Future revisions to announcement translations will be made in coordination with the Flight attendant announcement booklet revisions

� If you have any feedback or changes you would like us to consider, submit a United Voices report
