    5. LET´S MOVE

    ▶ Play the game «Let’s be a cow».Stand children in a circle, say: Let’s be a cow, move and make the noise of a cow. Now do the same for the sheep, cat, dog, hen and duck.

    ▶ Act out the role play «Let’s feed the animals». Place the flashcards of the duck, cow, sheep, pig, hen around different parts of the classroom. Choose three children to be the main characters from the story: the farmer, Ben and Rosie. Give each of these children a small bucket to feed the animals with. Divide the class into four or five groups. Tell the children who are the animals to go and sit next to the correct animal flashcard that you have placed around the room and follow the dialogue below.

    Teacher: Ducks, cows, sheep pigs and hens go to sleep!Ben and Rosie: Wakey! Wakey! Ducks.Farmer: Let’s feed the animals. (Children pretend to throw food from their bucket)Duck: Quack! Quack! Quack!Teacher: Swim like a duck!

    Follow the same dialogue for the other animals.Extension: children are in their animals groups. Play lively music and tell them to dance. When the music stops, give a TPR action to each of the groups one by one. Ducks jump! Cows jump, etc. Repeat as many times as you wish.

    6. TABLE TIME

    ▶ Give each child a picture of farm animals from the song to colour: duck, cow, hen and sheep (see Appendix, Worksheet 7). Make a headband out of card for each child so every time you sing the song children have fun acting out the song.

    7. GOODBYE

    ▶ Sing «Finishing the lesson» song 1 3 . Make Magic wave his hand at the class. Encourage children to wave their hands and blow a kiss to Magic.

Orange for the ducks, brown for the dogs and horses and rabbits, pink for the pigs, yellow for the cats and chicks. Use the table teams to divide the class.
