Unit 8 Test A
Polly: Is your class going on a trip tomorrow, Owen?
Owen: Yes. We’re going to a forest outside of town. We’re learning about trees, birds and insects. I’m excited about the trees. I’m not interested in the other things.
Polly: Oh really? I love insects. They’re my favourite thing to study. We’ve got lots of butterflies in our garden. They’re amazing!
Owen: Well, I’m glad to go on the trip. My classmate, Paul, is looking forward to the birds. He’s got two at his house. They’re really cool. They’re both blue and quite beautiful.
Polly: That sounds nice. I really like doing outdoor things, but my sister Rebecca doesn’t. She likes staying indoors. She practises ballet often because she’s got a performance soon.
Owen: My brother Larry likes the indoors bet-ter than the outdoors also. He trains for karate and he wants to win a big prize!
Polly: That’s cool. OK, so let’s go to the forest together sometime. And Rebecca and Larry can get together and do indoor things.
Owen: That’s a good idea!
