UNISYSTEM - Design Yourself Work Sheet Introduction Since most of the unisystem worlds seem to have a basis in modern reality, I’ve often found my players wanting to play themselves. To see how they themselves would face the threat of Zombies or Armageddon. These basic rules are what I came up with. So far, my players have been very happy with the results. I hope you find them useful. --William Myers Note Just a note, stress to your players that these rules come up with a ‘fantasized’ version of themselves. They might turn out slightly stronger or weaker then they believe they are, based on how others around them see themselves. Instructions 1 The player takes one design work sheet 2 The player writes down (without levels) all the qualities, drawbacks and skills they believe they have 3 The player rates each attribute, and each skill, trying to be as realistic as they see themselves in the PC column (ignore costs) 4 The player rates the level they believe they have in each quality and drawback in the PC column (ignore costs) 5 The player hands the sheet to the Game Master 6 The Game Master fills in the “GM” column, rating each of the players stats and levels as he sees them 7 The Game Master hands the sheet to any other player 8 The Other Player fills in any “OPC” columns that is unused, rating each of the players stats and levels as he sees them 9 Repeat until all Other Players have filled in columns, then go on to 10 10 The last Other Player to fill in the sheet hands it to the Game Master 11 The Game Master Totals all of the columns in the TOT column 12 The Game Master finds the Average (TOT / [# of players + gm]) and places it in the AVG column 13 The Game Master hands the sheet back the player 14 The Player copies the AVG column onto a character sheet 15 Begin play! Instruction Notes The Game Master can veto any quality, drawback or skill by drawing a line thru it The Game Master has the right to see a demonstration of any quality, drawback or skill If any “Other Player” doesn’t know the “Player” well enough, tell them to fill out a column anyway, and simply place what their impression is. If nothing else, just agree with the Player and use their value.
