The work is varied and colorful ranging from quirky Pop Art food sculptures through very accomplished watercolors and drawings by seniors who may be considering a career in Art and Design. The work will be on display all the Saturdays of the month from 10:00 AM til 1:00 PM. You can also learn about kayaking on the Swatara Creek. The featured presenter will be Ben Miller from Cocoa Kayak Rentals. This mobile kayak rental business operates along the gentle and scenic Swatara Creek near Hershey, PA. and provides excursions that follow the Swatara Creek trail which parallels the historic Union Canal, offering picturesque views and remnants of the former canal structures. Entering the Creek at their private access point -- Boathouse Run-- Ben will outline the area where kayakers are most likely to see bald eagles. Ben will also have on display information, pictures, and gear for kayaking along the 45 miles of the tree- lined Swatara Water Trail. The exhibition is inspired by Pat Badt and Scott Sherk’s recent artist residency in Valletta, Malta. As an island, Malta is a continuous edge. Sharp cliffs define the edge of water and land, cultural conditions define an edge between Europe, Northern Africa, and the Middle East. Its geographic location and long history of conflict have defined it as place of transition. He is a consulting producer on the VAN HELSING SYFY television series inspired by the Zenescope comic book character.
