Uniform Policy

Here is a list we have compiled of important uniform rules that all students must adhere to at Victory College. This is not an
exhaustive list but rather a summary of issues that we have noticed come up often.
Uniform policy reminders:
Uniform Policy
• Shoe laces in sports shoes must be black. Sports shoes
must be mainly black (over 80%). Quality sneakers are
highly encouraged for the safety of your child. No type of
skate shoe is allowed as footwear (see note 1).
• Earrings must be plain studs or sleepers in gold or silver
(no other shapes, no stones, etc.) (see note 2).
• Makeup is not allowed.
• No other jewellery other than a wrist watch is allowed.
• Sports socks must be at least 5cm ABOVE the top of the
outside ankle bone (no short socks) (see note 3).
• Hair must be the student’s completely natural hair colour
(no temporary, semi-permanent or permanent colouration;
no highlights)
• Hats must be worn whenever students are outside in their
uniform; this includes travelling to and from school. Dress
hats must be worn with dress uniform.
• Hair accessories must be plain (i.e. no big flowers etc.) and
in bottle green or black colour.
• Sports uniform may only be worn on the two timetabled
sports days (Year 1-10) or on Wednesdays (Year 11-12).
Students are considered out of uniform if they attend
school in the wrong uniform, even if it is worn correctly.
Form class teachers track student presentation standards
each day. If a student repeatedly fails to meet the required
standard, parents will be notified by their student’s form
class teacher. Any further failure of the student to meet the
standard will result in the Head of School becoming
involved and may require the student to be sent home to
rectify the infringement. As a courtesy to teachers, we ask
parents to still write notes explaining the reasons a student
may be out of uniform.
Thank you for your assistance in ensuring that your child
presents in full accordance to uniform policy. We take great
delight in seeing our students present themselves well as
we witness their character grow and mature.
