ControlsThe.UnderGarden™.for.PC.uses.either.a.keyboard.and.mouse.or.gamepad.control.scheme.The.game.supports.the.Microsoft.Xbox.360.Controller.for.Windows,.and.the.controls.listed.in.this.game.manual.are.

The Hub

The.Hub.leads.to.all.possible.pathways.through.and.out.of.the.UnderGarden.Move.through.the.Hub.using.the.arrows keys,.by.

clicking.and.holding.the.left mouse button,.or.by.using.the.leftstick .Tap.the.left mouse button to.get.a.quick.speed.boost.Click.on.the.character.and.drag.out.a.tether.for.a.greater.boost.in.that.direction.You.can.also.press.A.to.boost

Swim.over.to.an.alcove.that.is.lit.green.Inside.the.alcove,.a.swirling.portal.will.appear.Press.z or.Y.to.go.through.the.portal.and.enter.this.path.through.the.UnderGarden

At.the.start.of.the.game,.only.one.alcove.is.lit.green.Enter.this.rst.stage.to.begin.your.exploration.through.the.pathways.of.the..UnderGarden

You.will.return.to.the.Hub.when.you.step.through.the.portal.at. the.end.the.rst.stage.The.alcove.will.be.lit.blue.and.blooming.to.show.your.progress..A.new.alcove.will.be.lit.green

You.can.replay.the.stage.you.just.nished.by.stepping.through.the.portal.again,.or.move.to.the.newly.unlocked.pathway

Alcoves.lit.by.red.lights.contain.locked.portals.Unlock.them.by.

completing.unlocked.stages

Hub Portal ProgressOn.the.bottom.left.of.your.screen.is.a.meter.that.shows.your.progress.through. the.current.stage.As.you.near.the.Hub.

portal.at.the.end.of.the.path,.the.meter.lls.When.you.have.found.the.Hub.portal,.the.meter.will.be.full.

But.nding.the.Hub.portal.does.not.always.mean.you.have.completed.the.level.Each.pathway.through.the.UnderGarden.contains.many..wonders.and.puzzles.to.discover.You.must.be.clever.and.observant.to.nd.them.all

Pollenation ProgressThe.meter.on.the.bottom.right.shows.how.much.of.this.level.you.have.pollinated.

and.made.bloom.If.you.ll.the.bloom.bar,.you.have.most.certainly.explored.this.stage.

Pollen CountThe.dial.in.the.bottom.middle.of.the.screen.shows.how.much.pollen.you.have.picked.up.and.have.available.to.make.

owers.and.fruit.trees.bloom.When.this.meter.is.empty,.you.must.return.to.a.pollen.source.and.collect.more.pollen.before.you.can.bloom.more.plants

Fruit Trees When.you’ve.made.the.owers.surrounding.a.fruit.tree.bloom,.it.will.bear.fruit.Get.near.fruit,.then.press,.hold.and.release.F,.the.right mouse button or.X.to.pick.it.up.

You.will.carry.the.fruit.until.you.press.F ,.the.right mousebutton or.X.again.and.drop.it

Experiment.with.the.fruit.to.see.how.it.affects.the.world

Rare FlowersEach.stage.of.the.

UnderGarden.contains.rare.owers.you.can.collect.These.exotic.varieties.are.often.difcult.to.nd,.so.be.resourceful.and.imaginative.in.your.journies

Beacon.Beacons.light.up.when.you.pass.them.They.act.as.a.sort.of.checkpoint.to.which.you.can.return.at.any.time.If.you.get.stuck,.or.would.like.to.move.instantly.to.the.closest.beacon,.press.

and.hold.z or.Y.You.lose.pollen.and.any.objects.you.are.carrying.when.you.travel.to.a..beacon

MusiciansYou.will.nd.musicians.—.drums,.bass.and.melody.players.—.throughout. the.UnderGarden.These.trustworthy.

companions.will.travel.with.you,.providing.musical.accompaniment.to.your.tasks,.reblooming.owers,.and.even.changing.the.way.that.some.

objects.behave

Get.near.a.musician.and.press,.hold.and.release.F,.the.

right mouse button or.X.to.pick.the.musician.up.You.will.carry.the.musician.until.you.press.F,.the.right mousebutton or.X.again.and.drop.it

PortalPortals.transport.you.from.the.Hub. to.the.pathways,.and.between.areas.

in.the.UnderGarden.Move.near.a.portal.and.press.z or.Y.to.enter.it

Contraptions, Nuisances and Surprises.There.are.many.other.

types.of.objects.in.the.UnderGarden.Some.will.help.you.solve.puzzles,.some.will.try. to.block.your.efforts,.and.others.are.your.

keys.to.unlocking.new.pathways.Experiment.with.the.objects.you.encounter.–.you.never.know.what.might.happen

Treasure RoomIn.the.top.left.portion.of.the.Hub.is.an.area. that.contains.all.of.the.special.items.you.have.unlocked.while.playing.in.the.UnderGarden.Move.into.an.object.to.see.how.it.changes.your.look.To.unlock.more.objects,.you.must.uncover.more.of.the.UnderGarden’s.secrets

PausePress.E or.the.START button.to.display.the.Pause.menu:

Resume –.Return.to.the.UnderGardenOptions –.Change.sound.effects.and.music.volumeReturn to Hub –.Leave.current.pathway.and.return.to.the.Hub.Your.progress.will.not.be.saved.To.receive.credit.for.progress.on.a.level,.you.must.exit.the.level.through.the.Hub.portal

Co-op PlayYou.can.experience.the.UnderGarden.with.a.friend,.using.the.keyboard/mouse.and.a.controller,.or.two.controllers.Activate.both.controllers.(E or.START button when.game.begins) and.two.travelers.will.appear.in.

the.Hub.Enter.a.portal.to.travel.togetherBoth.players.can.gather.pollen,.pollinate.plants.and.use.objects.The.player.controlling.the.main.character.is.free.to.roam,.and.is. the.only.player.who.can.use.portals

Product Return ProceduresPlease rst contact Atari Customer Support at atarisupport.com to determine the

nature of your problem. Some issues that appear to be product defects are actually

conguration-related and are easily xed.In the event our support team has determined that you need to return your game,

it is recommended that you rst try your retailer. Return the game to your retailer along

with the original sales receipt and an explanation of the difculty you are experiencing

with the game. At its option, the retailer may replace the game.

Alternatively, our support representatives will provide you with a Return

Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) and instructions for returning your product

to Atari for replacement.If you purchased this game via digital download you will need to contact the

customer support department at the same website you purchased the game from for

all non-technical support issues. Non-technical support issues include installation

issues, purchasing, download issues, activation key requests, re-download requests

and refunds.

Technical Support does not offer game-play hints.

Warranty PolicyIf our technicians determine that the product storage medium is found to be

defective within ninety (90) days of original purchase, (unless otherwise provided by

applicable law), Atari will replace the item free of charge, to the original purchaser, if
