FOREWORD

Military doctrine consists of those "Fundamental principles by which the militaryforces guide their actions in support of objectives . . . (JCS Pub 1). These arenormally long-term in scope and obviously support the interests of a given state. .0They form the key elements of foreign and domestic policy as distinct from short-termstrategy and stratagems.

Part two of this periodicals bibliography presents coverage for various countries, including NATO, with emphasis on ground forces. Part three cites Napoleon's Maxims.

Inclusion of an item, or omission, neither implies USAFAS indorsement, sanctionof the compiler's point-of-view, nor does it guarantee accuracy of content. It isimportant to recognize that this record does not reflect total output as recorded inmilitary/naval periodicals issued by various countries; it is introductory in nature.
