The Ultradome™ "Batten" and "Lapped" DesignsDual Designs to Meet Your Needs

To complement the physical testingand evaluation of various structuraldetails, several in-house computerprograms which thoroughly analyze allstress conditions were developed. Thisproduced two designs which incorporatea number of unique features thatimprove reliability, reduce maintenance,and extend the life of these domes:the Ultraote Batt sg a thUltraote Lapped design.

The Ultradome™ Batten Design is mostappropriate for wastewater treatmenttanks or sludge tanks where odorcontrol or other air handling is involved.This design uses a batten bar to holdthe panels and elastomer strips andsilicone sealant to make a weather seal.

The design of the Rib Seal™ enclosedbatten seam incorporates two (2)continuous solid silicone multi-ribbedseal strips, which are fully enclosed bythe batten bar and are under uniform

compression to ensure maximumsalg fy. Th us of hghstquality silicone material and sealants inthe Rib Seal™ helps produce the lowestprol batt bar th ustry.

The Ultradome™ Lapped Design ismore appropriate for rainwater and lsensitive, non-pressurized applicatiosuch as potable water tanks, becausit eliminates the need for rubber seastrips and caulking compounds. Instthe panels are downhill lapped andfastened with 300 series stainless sscrews equipped with weatherguardwashers. The downhill laps rely ongravity to keep out water just liketratoal roog systs, thrby

providing a longer service life.

Both vrsos of th Ultradome™roof are fully triangulated, sphericalspaceframe structures that are selfsupporting from its periphery with phorizontal thrust contained by an int

tension ring. Each Ultradome™ struis individually designed and engineefor a sp applato. All opoare prefabricated to exacting toleranand quality programs assure complwth spatos.

The Ultraote® Geotruss™ Cover

and Finned-Seal™ Flat Cover

The Ultraote Geotruss™ cover issg spally for rtagularor square basin applications or can bertrott to xstg arato bass,larrs, or slug storag lagoos.

The Geotruss™ cover is also a fullytriangulated aluminum space framestructure which utilizes the Rib-Seal™Batt sa to rly lap th losurpanels in place.

A wide range of accessories includingdormers, skylights, and vents areavailable with the Geotruss™ cover.

By zg th volu of vaporspace under the cover, the UltraoteFinned Seal™ Flat Cover is ideal foyour odor control application.

Each Finned Seal Flat Cover consistindividual, interlocking panels made of reinforced extruded aluminum plathat are assembled using a tongue agroove design welded at the perimetto specialized extrusions. The Finned

Seal Flat Cover becomes a strongyet lightweight, corrosion-resistantstructure. The extrusions are designeto form a unique interlocking seambetween the panels and their supporEach panel can be designed to covespan of up to 38 feet without supportTruss supports are available for largespans.

Our novel "A" Frame aluminum supptrusses are intrinsically stable and cabe designed for virtually any span/loading combination without subjectin

the existing equipment to unplannedloadings.

The Finned-Seal™ design providesan air tight seal for odor control. Thisdesign allows for addition of optionalhidden latches that lock the panelstightly together yet are quickly andeasily released for access under thepanels. Lifting handles are also built along the ends of every panel.

Dormers provide entry through

the Ultradome™ or Geotruss™

cover with a standard size vertical

doorway, located conveniently

at the periphery. Available in

application.

Ductwork/

Penetrations

Duct penetrations permit the

passage of air through the cover,

by attachment of a waterproof

ange directly to the Ultradome™

panels. Custom-designed round

or square ducts can also be

supplied and installed inside oroutside the dome to suit your

airow demands.

Walls

Ultradome™ or Geotruss™ cover

can be built on sidewalls of various

heights and designs to provide full

headroom or to allow clearance for

internal equipment, etc.

Walkways

Walkways can be custom-designed to

any specic requirement. All aluminum

construction includes handrails and

stairways.
