ultraMix™ GFRC Concrete Countertop Mix

ultraMix™ GFRC Concrete Countertop Mix is a proprietary blend of natural and sustainable raw mate-rials formulated to produce a unique and superior concrete mix designed to be used when producing lightweight, eco-friendly concrete countertops for both interior and exterior use. By including recycled materials into the blend, ultraMix™ reduces the amount of portland cement in the product, which is an energy intensive product to produce and an environmental liability. The ultraMix™ proprietary blend of cement/sand slurry, admixtures and fibers, without the addition of large aggregates, allows for an easy consolidation into any edge forms, while producing an extremely strong, durable, and lightweight coun-tertop, whether it is pre-cast, or cast-in place.

ultraMix™ GFRC Concrete Countertop Mix is available in 50 lb. bags as a gray or white base. With the addition of accessory products such as ultraMix™ Color Packs, ultraMix™ Chemical Stain, and ultraSeal™ Concrete Sealer, the options for creating a truly unique countertop are limitless.

ultraMix™ Chemical Stain is a penetrating reactive stain that chemically combines itself with hydrated or cured concrete to produce permanent variegated, mottled colored effects. Stained concrete is one of the most sought after effects in the decorative concrete industry. With ultraMix™ Chemical Stain, stunning results are achievable in a quick and easy process with four earth tone colors that can be applied at different intensities to both freshly-cured concrete, and existing concrete surfaces*.

ultraMix™ Color Packs

ultraMix™ Color Packs are a proprietary blend of pigments designed to mix with ultraMix™ GFRC Con-crete Countertop Mix, providing an easy and consistently colored countertop. ultraMix™ Color Packs are available in four standard colors for both gray and white base mixes. Packaged in water-soluble bags sized for one 50 lb. bag of ultraMix™, achieving repeatable results from piece-to-piece has never been easier.

ultraSeal™ Concrete Sealers non-penetrating concrete and masonry sealers designed to enhance the color of material sealed. Both the solvent-based, and water-based (low VOC) formulas provide superior protection against most greases and oils, water, and other natural contaminants. Additionally, ultraSeal™ Solvent-Based Concrete Sealer provides excellent protection for driveways and other areas experiencing light vehicular traffic.

The ultraSeal™ Concrete Sealers produce a gloss finish when applied. For a matte finish, mix the ultraSeal™ Matting Agent into a five gallon bucket of ultraSeal™ Concrete Sealer.

Set forms on melamine board & caulk all seams using black 100% silicone. The countertop will be poured upside down, taking advantage of the smooth melamine.

Apply ultraMix™ Form Release to surface of

melamine and inside edges of forms.

Pour ultraMix™ Countertop Mix into clean water

& mix using a high speed mixing device. (If us-

ing ultraMix™ Color Packs, mix into water prior

to adding concrete.)

Fill the forms with mix to approximately 1/2 full and place fiberglass mesh on top of concrete stopping approximately 1/2” before the edge of forms.

Fill the forms with mix to the top and screed off any excess mix. Vibrate edges and underneath with hand-held sander (without sand paper) to consolidate the mix.

Remove forms after 24 hours and clean off excess form release and caulk. Finish to jobsite specifications (Staining, Sealing, Polishing).

Apply ultraMix™ Form Release to surface of
