This year’s camp was under the direction of Camp Director Cheryl Massa and Youth Directors Tanner Bailey, Kassidi Buttermore, Steven Habroun, Peyton Massa and Levi Paschall. The theme of the camp was “4-H Camp...The Movie”, with each cabin representing a different Disney or Pixar film. There were many activities offered, including archery, fort building, butter making, outdoor cooking, dancing, tie dying, fishing, leather craft, games and crafts. 4-H members had the opportunity to experience an outdoor setting conducive to learning how to get along with others and learn the value of participation. 4-H members from 3 rd grade to 8 th grade participated as campers, while the high school 4-H members served as youth counselors. 4-H’ERS WENT TO “4-H CAMP...THE MOVIE” AT CAMP TEHAMA

Eighty five 4-H members and thirty one teen counselors from Glenn County

4-H attended the annual 4-H Summer Camp held at Camp Tehama June 26-29th,

reports UCCE Glenn County Program Representative Jamie Marron. This year’s

camp was under the direction of Camp Director Cheryl Massa and Youth Directors

Sanchez, Ethan Sims and Luke Taylor. Adult volunteers that helped and provided support were Maddison Arnold,

Dari Bailey, Jessica Campbell, Justin Chaney, Melissa Cloyd, Martin Cloyd, James Corneliussen, Terri Curry,

Shannon Deitz, Mary Fernandes, Jane Foster, Stephanie Hammons, Sandi Hubbard, Jessica Lloyd, Natalie Massa,

Melinda Matteucci, Anthony Matteucci, J.B. Renfro, Marcia Sanchez, Debbie Scritchfield, Kyle Scritchfield and

Deborah Storz. 4-H Staff attending camp were Jamie Marron, UCCE 4-H Program Representative and Maigen

Matteucci, UCCE 4-H Program Assistant.

Outstanding boys’ cabin award went to Boys’ Cabin #7. The counselor for that cabin was Ethan Sims. The

cabin youth were Levi Walkup, Riley Cloyd, Jack Lazzaretto and Cooper Deitz. Outstanding girls’ cabin award

went to girls’ Cabin #6. Counselors for that cabin were Clarissa Wetz and Channa Penner. The cabin youth were

Haylie Schatz, Jacy Mull, Regan Cauthon, Magella Millen, Trista Smith,

Gracie Cockrell and Lori Mello.

The biggest fish award went to Bianna Penner and the smallest fish

award went to Hannah Cloyd. The best sportsmanship award for fishing went

to Jack Lazzaretto.

The clean cabin award for the boys’ cabins went to Cabin #7.

Ethan Sims was the counselor and the campers were Levi Walkup, Riley

Cloyd, Jack Lazzaretto and Cooper Deitz. The clean cabin award for the girls’ cabins went to Cabin #20. Summer

Curry and Lacey Embrey were the counselors and the campers

were Jillian Williams, Hannah Wetz, Sydney Del Pape and

Brianna Penner.

The best decorated boys’cabin was Cabin #5. Travis

Chapman was the counselor for that cabin and the campers were

Bryce Bolt, Rocco Becerra, Hayden Canalia and Wade

Gruenwald. The best decorated girls’ cabin was Cabin #20. The
