Radcliffe fought hard and had a goal disallowed but surged on Pennine to rescue a goal making it 5-1.The final goal saw Sam pass to Brierly making the final score line 6-1. The standard of play was excellent with the boys listening to each other and good formation throughout the match and great effort. A great hat trick for Brierly. Match Report. Audrey Walker, Man of the Match Sulaymen Most Improved Player Brierly

4.10.14 Away v Oldham Rangers:

A wet start to the game some good passing from Pennine with a persistent attitude leading to the first

goal to Pennine by Ben S. Some great play up the field by Sam throughout the match, with a lack of

defence causing an equaliser. Pennine had a good spell in the Rangers half with some near misses

on goal. The second half saw a goal by Adam with an immediate comeback by Rangers to make it all

square at two each. Strong play by Pennine saw Andrew manage to score in the bottom right only to

concede a goal to the Rangers end to make it 3 – 3. Pennine continued to play well with good passes

up the field by Ben S, Sam and Kamran. Lewis managed to save any attempts by Rangers who

eagerly chased and wanted the ball. An entertaining game, seeing the Pennine players having to

settle for a draw.

Match Report. Audrey Walker, Man of the Match Edward. Most Improved Player Lewis

27.9.14 Home V Middy Blues:

The game started well with some good passes and attacking play, that was fast and physical, Middy

Blues had good organisation at the back. Sulaymen and Ben S showed good defending .Middy Blues

scored the first goal. Lewis had to make several good saves throughout the game. Ogaga made a

good attempt which went into the side of the goal. A well organised and determined Middy Blue side

made it 2-0.Pennine seemed to get pushed off the ball throughout but carried on and started to push

back. The game ended with a further Middy Blue goal. A disappointing result but a fast and physical

style of game which needed more chasing by Pennine.

Match Report. Audrey Walker, Man of the Match Lewis. Most Improved Player Ogaga

20/09/14 Away V Bridge Hawks:

After a couple of early corners to each team, Pennine settled quickly with Edward and Sulaymen

putting in some strong defending early in the game. Lewis came out of his goal to make some strong

saves on a damp pitch. Sam had a good attempt on goal, but Bridge struck back and a lack of

defence on the left led to an unfortunate bridge goal making it 1 – 0.Play continued strong with Adam

nearly pulling of an overhead kick at goal, followed by good defending and good passes with Nick

making a good attempt up the field leading into the end of the first half. The second half saw crowding

around the Pennine goal with a near miss by Bridge. Pennine fought back and made some good

crosses and passes up the field with a Bridge keeper save coming back out to Andrew to score the

1-1 equaliser. Pennine remained on task and another crowded goal area saw Bridge take advantage

and score a second goal to make it 2 – 1 to Bridge. Pennine continued to play well and with a set of

good passes down the field saw Brierly score the second goal making it 2-2.Pennine played well, a

good match.

Match Report: Audrey Walker, Man of the Match: Kamran, Most Improved Player: Sulaymen

13/09/14 Home V Walshaw Wolves:

The game got off to a strong start for Walshaw that saw Pennine concede an unfortunate home goal. The game starts to settle with some back and forth play from both teams in the opening 15 minutes with Lewis making some strong saves. Walshaw had a couple of free kicks that saw Nick defending well and saw Lewis make the saves. Walshaw put Pennine under pressure from the corners requiring some good goalkeeping by Lewis, who cleared the ball that led to some great passing between Andrew, Nick and Brierly before Andrew takes a shot that the keepers saves and gives corner to Pennine defended well by Walshaw who put break on to get the ball back into Pennine half before Lewis makes a great save. 5 minutes left in the first half sees Andrew take another shot with Pennine heads lifting and starting to look like they want to win. As the keeper clears the ball to halfway Kamran intercepts the ball some great footwork and a superb pass to Brierly who gets the shot of and equalises half time soon comes with the game 1 – 1. The second half sees the Pennine players looking more alert as Kamran gets shot on goal saved by the keeper. Pennine taking a further three more corners but unable to convert any. The play is much stronger in the second half and Pennine having a surge around the Walshaw goal area, Adam and Andrew broke up the field with some great passes resulting in a brilliant goal by Andrew making it 2 – 1 to Pennine. With ten minutes left to play Pennine play with more purpose and a good result for the team as the final whistle is blown. Match Report Audrey Walker. Player of Match: Andrew. Most Improved Player: Lewis.

06/09/14 Away V Bridge Eagles:

Bridge kick off, Pennine quickly put pressure on claim the ball, some great tackling is seen by both teams with some end to end play, this is looking like a great match very evenly balanced. Half time Pennine 0 – 0 Eagles. Pennine take the Kick off, they certainly have their heads up as we see a great goal from Brierly to put Pennine into the lead. Match Report Derek Wright. Player of the Match Kamran. Most Improved Player Brierly.
