PRESS RELEASE 03/03/2017 - For immediate publication Wireless charging system reaches new heights in forklift lighting TYRI, a leading global work light manufacturer, has launched a revolutionary new product that will change the current landscape of forklift lighting; TYRI Wireless Power system (TWP). This innovative solution provides wireless light, which moves with the forks, to give operators a clear view of their working area at any height. The lights then charge when returned to a downward position, providing a truly wireless solution. The TWP system is controlled by a small remote control device and can be expanded to two extra units and applied to all types of forklifts, both new and old. This entirely new intelligent and revolutionary lighting solution will receive its first premiere at LogiMAT trade fair in Stuttgart, Germany between 14–16 March. Traditionally, LED lighting systems have been static and require lengths of wiring to power the lights. With the TYRI Wireless Power system it is possible to have a lighting system which moves with the forks to provide light where it is needed; without the risk of wires becoming entangled in the mechanism. The TWP system increases safety, efficiency and productivity in the warehouse environment by providing wireless light at any height and position the forks are required. It can also integrate with other systems such as cameras, lasers and electronic valves and is connected to Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to control the light source remotely and/or stream camera images. The advanced nature of the technology ensures this product is future proofed and can be adapted to integrate new technologies as they become available, such as camera’s integrated into the LED lights. TYRI Wireless Power system has a patent pending and consists of two sections that come into contact with each other when the truck’s forks are in their lowered position and then commence automatic recharging with a Li-Ion battery. The battery, in turn, runs the LED work lights fitted to the sides of the forks.

Wireless charging system reaches new heights in forklift lighting

TYRI, a leading global work light manufacturer, has launched a revolutionary new product that will change the current landscape of forklift lighting; TYRI Wireless Power system (TWP).

Supplied with glare-free VL4 Diffused LED work lights, the TWP system is a cost-efficient lighting solution from TYRI and features a wide beam lighting pattern for increased visibility from the cab, and is particularly suitable for use together with cameras for a better image in the monitor.

“TYRI Wireless Power system is a new, revolutionary system that through less cabling provides greater freedom. The forklift truck operator is provided with perfect lighting over all of his/her work area. It not only increases safety, but also efficiency and productivity which in turn gives a reduction in cost for the entire company”, states Christian Wadell, Development Manager, TYRI.

How the TYRI Wireless Power (TWP) works >>>

About TYRIAs an industry leader in off highway lighting, TYRI develops intelligent lighting solutions. These solutions solve the demanding application requirements of the Heavy Vehicle, Mining, Forestry, Construction, Agricultural and Material Handling Industries. With multiple locations around the world, TYRI is able to offer global supply with local source programs for multinational customers.hej

How the TWP system works:TYRI Wireless Power charging system consists of two sections. P-section: The forklift battery is connected to the TWP system’s voltage transformer and feeds the electric current to the charging rail which is installed on the side of the forklift frame.

W-section: The WP Connector is mounted on the opposite side of the forks, which is in turn connected to the TWP system’s own rechargeable battery pack. From here two VL4 Diffused LED work lights are connected on either side of the forks.

When the forks are in their lowered position the W and P sections are closed and the WP Connector makes contact with the charging rail, charging of the battery starts automatically. The battery then runs the work lighting and other electronic equipment, for example, a camera.Via the remote control device, the operator can switch the work lighting on and off as well as the other optional units.

The TWP system consists of:

P-section:• Voltage transformer• Charging Rail

W-section:• WP Connector• Battery Pack with Li-Ion batteries• 2 VL4 Diffused Work Lights

Premiere & demonstration:March 14 to 16 at the LogiMAT, Stuttgart, TYRI Lights, booth 8A24 in hall 8.
