Widget Walkthrough

We’ll be drawing this widget

Step 1: Horizon line & 2 vanishing points

Page 4: Two Point Perspective

Draw an edge

Page 5: Two Point Perspective

Top corner to vanishing points

Page 6: Two Point Perspective

Decide how long you want right side to be, place dot along construction line

Page 7: Two Point Perspective

That corner needs to be attached to both vanishing points and a vertical line

Page 8: Two Point Perspective

Now connect the bottom front point to both vanishing points

Page 9: Two Point Perspective

You’ve now discovered the back right corner!

Page 10: Two Point Perspective

Now decide how long you want the other side to be – place a dot there

Page 11: Two Point Perspective

That dot needs to be connected to both vanishing points and a vertical line

Page 12: Two Point Perspective

You’ve discovered the back left corner and the front left corner!

Page 13: Two Point Perspective

Now we need to work on the details of the top of this widget

Page 14: Two Point Perspective

Connect that dot to the vanishing point

Page 15: Two Point Perspective

A second dot, also connected to the vanishing points

Page 16: Two Point Perspective

Now, another dot to determine the back of this top feature

Page 17: Two Point Perspective

Outline the top – you’re done with that side!

Page 18: Two Point Perspective

Now let’s drop those vertical lines from the two dots we placed earlier

Page 19: Two Point Perspective

Need to have a bottom level for the front feature

Page 20: Two Point Perspective

Almost done with the front…

Page 21: Two Point Perspective

Shade it/outline the front, you’re done with it!

Page 22: Two Point Perspective

Now we need to do that funky “angled” line

Page 23: Two Point Perspective

Connect those inner corners using a straight edge

Page 24: Two Point Perspective

Now just add some shading, you’re done!
