Two Door Cinema Club – Advert Analysis

This is an advert for Two Door Cinema Club’s debut album called ‘Tourist History’. As you can see, similarly to the Foals advert, the name of the band stands out the most on the advert and is the thing that catches the attention of the viewer. Just beneath it is the name of the album and just underneath that it shows the name of a single called ‘I Can Talk’ which is on the album. This is a good way of branching out to people who may have heard that song and want to hear some of their other songs.

At the bottom of the page as you can see is a list of tour dates that the band are doing, however it is covered by the words ‘SOLD OUT’ in big block capitals. I think this is clever as it portrays to the viewer that

the band are popular having sold out a full tour, stating if you haven’t listened to them already, listen to them now.

The picture of the cat in the middle of the advert is something that stands out also, as well as the band name. I don’t quite know what the cat has to do with the band name or the name of the album but I think it is an image that will intrigue people, and make them want to know connection.
