TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB – CHANING OF
THE SEASONS
A popular convention in videos for indie rock/pop tracks tend to feature a performance.
These show the audience that the band are very passionate and enjoy what they do.
While the performance is taking place, there are close ups and over the shoulder shots that show each band member which shows the unity of the group and how they all equally enjoy what they do.
PERFOMANCE
The whole video is in black and white which is a typical effect used in indie rock/pop videos.
A blurred effect is also used in the video to help create a sense of drunkenness and good times.
A slow motion effect is also used to emphasise the happiness the people in the video are experiencing and therefore emphasises how much the band enjoy they’re music also.
EDITING
The use of musical mise en scene is present throughout the video by the use of guitars, microphones etc.
The video itself is set in a conference room showing the professionalism of the group.
The blocking of the live performances shows the lead singer in the centre of the group highlighting that he is the front man.
MISE EN SCENE
Before the video begins, there is an interview with the band that suggests that they have been successful with their music.
This interview helps to kick start the narrative for the rest of the video.
SOUND
There are many camera shots used throughout the video.
Medium close ups are used throughout the video to show the singers passion about the music and the wide shots also show this too.
