    GIRLS HIGH TWITTEREdition 4: 26 April 2013________________________________________________________________

    Dear Parents,

The Matric Dance was a success and enjoyed by all. The girlslooked lovely and behaved in a way a Girls High girl should

behave. With the dance out of the way the Matrics can now

concentrate on and prepare for their academic studies for the

June exams that start on 29 May.

The All Girls Festival will be taking place this weekend at

Parktown Girls School in Johannesburg. We are looking

forward to seeing parents support their daughters. We also

wish all our girls the best of luck. We hope that they will all

have a splendid time and make many new friends.

The test series are well on their way. Tests are written everyTuesday and Thursday.

week in May. Please check uniforms for size to enable you

    to purchase the correct uniform.

Hags Boutique is open every Monday. All girls MUST have tracksuits. Tracksuit pants must be

shortened and be the correct length. Some pants are too

long causing the pants to be walked on resulting in torn

pants hemlines. This is very untidy.

Girls are still colouring their hair during the holidays and itis not appropriate or acceptable. There are also definite

rules regarding braiding which are not followed. Pierced

tongues, eyebrow and nose rings, dyed hair, shaved hair, dreadlocks and visible tattoos are contrary to our code of

    dress and are not condoned.

Only Girls High school jerseys may be worn. Stretchedand tattered jerseys must be replaced.

Clothing and personal possessions: All items must beclearly marked with your daughters name and laundry

number where necessary. PLEASE dont use stick on labels

    as they wash off.

    Parents DaySaturday 11 May: 08.00 to 13.00

This day provides the opportunity for parents to meet with

to discuss academic results and concerns with their daughters

meet with the teachers, so please try not to miss this

    opportunity.
