10.10.21 Bulletin Message El domingo 17 de Octubre, el Obispo Alberto Rojas visitará la parroquia no solo para bendecir nuestro nuevo Santuario de Fátima, sino también para presidir el Rito de Instalación dentro de la Santa Misa de las 11:00 AM. ¿Por qué hay una necesidad de un Rito de Instalación de un nuevo pastor? El Código del Derecho Canónico proporciona una respuesta con respecto a la necesidad de una ceremonia. Dice que "una parroquia es una cierta comunidad de fieles cristianos constituida de manera estable en una iglesia particular, cuyo cuidado pastoral se confía a un pastor (párroco) como su propio pastor (pastor) bajo la autoridad del obispo diocesano (Can. 515 § 1. A). El párroco que es asignado por el obispo para llevar a cabo el cuidado pastoral de una parroquia local obtiene este cargo y está obligado a ejercerlo desde el momento de la toma de posesión (Can. 527§10. Es el obispo de la diócesis, o un sacerdote delegado por él, quien coloca oficialmente al párroco en posesión de la parroquia (Can. 527 §2). Este acto publico de poner al pastor en posesion de la comunidad confiada a su cuidado ocurre en el Rito de Instalacion". Además, ciertos clérigos que son promovidos a un oficio eclesiástico, como ser asignados como pastor, están personalmente obligados a hacer una profesión de fe, en función de el (Can. 833 § 6). También es un tiempo para que el pastor renueve sus promesas de ordenación y profese el Juramento de Fidelidad a nuestra Santa Madre Iglesia. Todo esto sucede durante el Rito de Instalación de un pastor. La Misa de Instalación parroquial se vuelve más significativa porque es el mismo día de la bendición de nuestro Santuario de Fátima. El obispo Alberto Rojas ha aceptado amablemente la invitación para presidir la ceremonia de bendición a las 10:15 AM. Pero lo que lo hace realmente especial es que estos eventos de la Iglesia están sucediendo en el mismo fin de semana cuando la Iglesia Universal también está celebrando la festividad de Santa Margarita María. Oramos especialmente por su santa intercesión para que estas ocasiones parroquiales, no solo nos acerquen los unos a los otros, sino también a Dios que siempre es bueno y misericordioso. Nuestra Señora de Fátima, Reina del Santísimo Rosario, ruega por nosotros. Santa Margarita María, nuestra patrona parroquial, intercese siempre por nosotros. Amén

In all of our masses for the en re month of November, we will have a special prayer and blessing for them a er the concluding prayer. Envelopes to write their names and to give your dona on are available at the back of the church. Please return them through the collec on baskets or through the office before next month. The Knights of Columbus will be hos ng their annual campaign for people with Intellectual Disabili es (in the past o en referred to as the Tootsie Roll Drive) the weekend of October 2 & 3 a er all the Masses.

In apprecia on, donors are offered a sealed tootsie roll candy for their generosity in dona ng to support the Knights’ campaign. Social Distancing and personal protec on including gloves and masks and sani zing will be followed by the

Knights. Baskets will be provided for donors to drop their dona ons into to avoid close contact.

All proceeds will go to benefit and support people with intellectual disabili es. The Knights thank you for your support and generosity.

A new season of youth ministry began. Here is a list of all the fun events the youth ministry will be hos ng:

Oct 10th Mass at Sunset. Celebrate Mass on the field with great food from the Knights of Columbus.

Oct 17th Life Night. We will be discussing life’s purpose and how we can turn to God for help.

Oct 24th Pumpkin Carving. Come and pray with us, then help us carve some pumpkins.

When does the youth ministry meet? The youth ministry meets every Sunday for the 5pm evening Mass. We celebrate the Mass as a community of believers. We know how important it is to feel supported, so the teens have a sec on (choir lo ) where they can celebrate Mass together. A er the 5pm evening Mass, teens will travel to the Sacred Heart Center for an opportunity for our young people to grow in friendship and faith. Ac vi es will end around 8:00pm.

The youth ministry will be hosting Mass at Sunset on Sunday, October 10th . This is when our regular 5 PM Mass will be moved from the church to the school field. This gives our community an opportunity to worship together in a different way. Plus stick around after Mass as the Knights of Columbus will be supporting this event by provid-ing hamburgers and hotdogs to all in attendance.
