Individual/Small Group Tutorial Sessions
1 Open Lab (focusing predominately on upper and lower level math courses)
1 Open Lab providing Industrial Engineering and Technology assistance
AskOnline – online tutoring for Physics, Math, Spanish and Anatomy and Physiology
Scheduled Study Sessions (similar to SI) for Chemistry and Anatomy and Physiology courses
BEFORE THEY MEET WITH YOUR TUTOR
Share pertinent information with your tutees ◦What tutoring is and what it is not◦Decide what form of assistance best fits their
need ◦Identify strengths and weaknesses of the
course to determine who would best fit their need (matched with availability)
COMMUNICATION
Intentional Communication – both verbally and through e-mail or the 5th e-mail will be deleted prior to being read
Offer opportunities to your tutors that would benefit them
Straight-forward and concise sharing – limit the ambiguity
Share your tutors successes with all tutors (with permission from the tutor of coarse)
Promote Teamwork
