Turquoise
• Turquoise is a not transparent blue-green or blue-green stone. It is rare and valued for its unique colour . Turquoise can be of blue-green shades such as dark aquamarine.

In many cultures turquoise was respected for thousands of years as a talisman of luck. In ancient Egypt the emperors had it. In the Persian Empire these stones were worn around the neck or wrist as a protection against unnatural death.
