Dear tunnelling & underground construction experts,

During the last year there has been vast movement within the

Indian tunnelling and underground construction industry, a

number of new tenders have been allocated, construction

work has been actively on going and several major tunnelling

projects have been completed.

Further, with the announcement of the Planning Commission’s

12th Five Year Plan and the government’s increase in infrastructure

investment, this is a vital time to exchange ideas, hear about active

tunnelling projects, learn about the current issues and review the

latest technological advances within the industry.

IQPC welcomes your involvement and is proud to announce the

second instalment of Tunnels & Underground Construction India,

which will be taking place from the 12th - 14th December 2011. Key

influential leaders within the industry shall be present, engaging in

topical discussions that are currently impacting the market.

Many of you found last year’s summit informative and were keen

to take part in even more interactive sessions. Therefore, this

year we are increasing the number of round table discussions

and enhancing our workshops in order to incorporate more

focused discussions.

We would be delighted to see you there and encourage your

active involvement in the panel discussions.

I hope you enjoy reading this year’s agenda and workshop

programme and I look forward to seeing you in December.

When the Indian government announced further investment in

infrastructure in their 12th Five Year Plan, substantial growth

further increased in the planning of tunnels and underground

projects within the rail, road, sewage and hydropower sectors.

This has resulted in an unprecedented demand for further

awareness on leading-edge machinery and technology available

in the market; and a greater demand to learn about the latest

safety technologies from world-class experts in the field of

tunnelling.

As we approach the end of the 11th Five Year Plan and enter into

the first year of the 12th Five Year Plan, the next few months are

critical to distinguish how we can improve and learn from the past

experiences in tunnel and underground construction.

Last year’s summit was a great success with numerous attendees

exchanging contact details and tendering opportunities.

This year the summit intends to encourage key industry leaders to

engage in simulating knowledge sharing discussions both on a

strategic and technical level. There will be in-depth presentations

reviewing current issues projects are facing.

Further, there will be numerous interactive sessions with key

industry experts actively reviewing the latest technological

advances available within the industry. Thus, building towards

and encouraging effective and long lasting industry relationships.

Who you will meet:

IQPC provides business executives around the world with tailored

practical conferences, large scale events, topical seminars and in-
