Tulsa X-Factor Paintball
By-Laws
The point of these by-laws is to provide a common reference point for all current and future team
members. They outline team philosophy, field rules, team layout, and structure along withvarious team positions and roles.
These by-laws were developed by the senior leadership group (SLG) and ratified by a 2/3s vote
and signatures of the current active members. Major changes must be approved by a 2/3s vote ofthe leadership group (leadership group consist of ghost flankers and assistant squad leaders and
above) and minor changes and updates can be approved by the senior leadership group. All new
players will sign a copy of the by-laws upon achieving full member status.
X-Factor Philosophy
X-Factor is a woodsball/scenario paintball team with the primary focus of having fun while
playing safe. We are primarily a team that plays an aggressive defensive style game specializing
in flanking actions to take and hold our objectives. As a team we are all willing to sacrifice to
reach our objectives. Above all, we play with the highest level of professionalism and integritywhile keeping in mind the example we are setting for others. Part of setting the example
includes: always maintaining a good attitude, no arguing (if there is an issue, take it to our
leadership), keeping tempers in check, no bragging, and being mindful of our language.Regardless of what might be happening around us, we will always maintain our professionalism
and standards. This is a game and is for fun. If the actions of others are preventing it from being
a fun honest game, walk away. At no time and for no reason will we ever lower our standards.
Regardless of events on or off the field, we support each other throughout. While we joke with
each other, we will always have each others back and will always provide positive support.
We do not accept cheating by an X-Factor member or guest of any nature. All members and
guests accept and agree to this rule. Anyone caught cheating will be kicked off the team and not
invited to any future team events.
Field Rules
We are fortunate enough to have our own private field that we use for all type of events. Thisland is owned by Buddy Lindseys family who has been gracious enough to let us play and build
multiple bunkers along with staging facilities. It is imperative that we always respect and do not
abuse this privilege. In order to insure a safe playing environment, the following rules are to be
observed at all times. Violations can result in removal from the field and possibly the team.
These rules are primarily intended for our private field and while they are superseded when
playing at another field, their spirit is still in effect:

21.A road runs along the north border of the field. If while playing near the road, you see a car, yell car to all players in the area and cease fire. Do not advance on any player while
waiting for the car to leave the area. Once clear, yell game on and resume play.

eliminated.
27.Semi-automatic firing only.28.A player is considered out if they intentionally or clearly go out of bounds.
Team Layout
On the field, most of the team is grouped into squads with each squad having a specific focus(assault or flank) and mission. Players are assigned to a squad based on their preference, style ofplay, and equipment. Each squad is under the command of the designated squad leader who
reports to either the team XO or team General. Reporting directly to the team General are
special forces players (ghost flankers and snipers). Based upon the number of players attendingevents, additional squads will be stood up as needed.
Team Membership
Membership is achieved thru a point system. A player earns 1 point for each practice or team
meeting and 2 points for attending an event with X-Factor or participating in a work day at the
field. 10 points are required for team membership with a minimum of 3 coming from practiceevents. Players must also demonstrate a willingness to adhere to the X-Factor philosophy and
present themselves as a good steward of the sport. There is no time limit for obtaining the
required points. Once a player is accepted as a new member, they are then permitted to wear X-
Factor shirts and patches.
Once a player has obtained team membership, unless they flagrantly violate team rules they are a
member for life. While there isnt a requirement to attend any events, players who do not attend

any team event (practice, meeting, work day, or event) over a period of one year are moved to
the inactive role. Inactive players maintain membership and rank, but lose voting rights.
Inactive players can return to active status by attending two team events and with theconcurrence of senior team leadership.
Members are selected for team leadership positions based on their demonstrated leadershipability; desire to move into a leadership position, team commitment, and team seniority. Allteam leaders are expected to attend at least one event every six months. Any leader not attending
an event during a six month period will meet with senior leadership to discuss if they should
maintain a leadership role. It will be senior leaderships decision if the member retains theirleadership position.
