The ProjectIn September 2017, the Macmahon NKE joint venture was selected by PT Merdeka Copper Gold as the preferred proponent to undertake underground mining services at its Tujuh Bukit Porphry Project in Indonesia.

The initial scope of work commenced in January 2018 which involved the development of an exploration decline tunnel for the main access to the underground deposit. Macmahon has secured an opportunity to extend the project for a 6 month period to May 2020.

The Tujuh Bukit mine is ranked as one of the world’s top undeveloped porphyry copper and gold mineral resources, containing approximately 8 million ounces of gold and 91 billion pounds of copper.
