St. Cecilia Academy hosted a middle school “Math is 4 Girls” competition last week. It was an opportunity for

middle school girls who enjoy and excel in math to participate in a day of hands-on activities and competition

in the field of mathematics. 106 6-8 grade girls from 14 area middle schools participated, including Saint Ann

School.

Congratulations to all the SAS girls who participated and their teacher, Mr. Finnegan!

We Didn’t Start the Fire

Students in Kindergarten and grade 2 didn’t start the fire, but they sure did learn how firemen put them out.

Unfortunately, there was a call to the firehouse during the visit and the students didn’t get a chance to spray

the firehose—maybe next time!

Cross Country Runners Finish Strong Please see the message below from Mrs. Johnson:

“Sunday was a wonderful day of running! I am SO proud of each and every runner here at Saint Ann School!

The runners worked so hard every practice and it really shows at the meets! Please see the attached race re-

sults for this week. We had several kiddos who were out sick this week, so we were a little lower in numbers

than other weeks (we hope you all feel better, we missed you!).

Out of the 43 runners who participated on Sunday, 36 of them achieved a personal best! WOW! That is

amazing!!! We also had 8 runners in the top 25! I am so, so proud of each and every kiddo!

I want to thank all of the parents that helped with various things for cross country. We could not have done it

without a team of parents helping us. THANK YOU ALL!!! We appreciate you so much.

We will have a small ice cream social one day after school in the upcoming weeks. I will send an email re-

garding this.

***You must return your child's uniform (jersey and shorts). Your child should return it to their homeroom

teacher and the teacher will mark their name off the list. Please do not have your child bring it directly to me.

Mr. Sandy (athletic director) does all of the uniforms. I will not be collecting them. If your child's uniform is

not returned, you will be charged a fee for it.

Again, thank you for a great season! I loved watching each child improve at practices and on meet days!”
