FROM THE DIRECTOR After many years of planning, 2015-2016 opened a new chapter to the Tucson Botanical Gardens. On September 11, 2015, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to inaugurate a new Visitor Center. The new Center included a gift shop, Legacy Gallery and Legacy Meeting Room. Adding to the excitement was the presentation of the national traveling exhibition, Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks. As a result of these new investments, the Tucson Botanical Gardens saw a dramatic increase in membership and school group visits. Family Days, Summer Science Camp, the Cox Butterfly & Orchid Pavilion and, of course, our plant collection and display gardens continue to shine as the pride of our institution. We are grateful to our generous members and loyal friends who have contributed to the success of the Gardens.
