General DescriptionWestell’s Twin Tower Mounted Amplifier (TTMA) with AISG Re-inject
output is an ideal solution for optimizing LTE cell site performance by
improving base station receiver sensitivity (for both the 700 MHz and 850
MHz frequency bands). With the TTMA-700850 product series, operators
will see improved service performance levels — fewer failed connection
attempts, fewer drops, expanded coverage area (critical for VoLTE), and
increased uplink data throughput — all in a compact, highly-reliable, and
cost-effective twin package that supports one full sector.
To support all types of deployment environments, the gain of the TTMA-
700850 can be set in 1 dB increments from 3 dB to 13 dB, using an AISG
2.0 interface connection (either external connector or RF AISG commands
from the base station via the BTS-1 port only). Additionally, the TMA
supports control of Smart-Bias-T RET Antennas via AISG re-injection on
the Antenna port, thus eliminating the need for a separate AISG cable and
improving reliability and costs.
