Element Design

For nanofiltration

elements which

operate at ultra low

feed pressures,

parasitic pressure

losses can reduce the

applied pressure by

up to 50%.

From the same company that introduced the first low

fouling RO membrane, comes the first low fouling

nanofiltration membrane, the TS80. With over 30 MGD of

installed capacity, the TS80 gives you a state of the art

membrane with a proven track record.

Proprietary Chemistry

The TS80 has a unique combination of fouling resistance, high

specific flux, and high organic, iron, and hardness rejection to

produce the best nanofiltration membrane currently on the

market. The patented chemistry of the TS80 membrane sets it

apart from the competition.

TS80 for Municipal NanofiltrationThe TS80 membrane is uniquely suited for municipal drinking

water applications. It’s high specific flux, low fouling characteristics,

and robust mechanical design insure a long and trouble free

operating life.

Certified for Drinking Water ApplicationsThe TS80 membrane element has been certified for use in

drinking water applications by NSF standard 61 and KIWA ATA.

High Efficiency DesignAll TriSep nanofiltration elements incorporate the TriSep High Efficiency

Element Design (HEED) to minimize parasitic pressure losses within

the element. The HEED design utilizes a combination of a low

pressure drop feed spacer and permeate carrier, short leaf lengths, and

the largest ID permeate tube on the market to minimize parasitic

pressure loss in nanofiltration elements.

XN45 for Process NanofiltrationA sister membrane to the TS80 nanofiltration membrane, is the

XN45. A third generation membrane based on the same chemistry

that has made the TS80 so successful, the XN45 is a low rejection

membrane designed for use in process applications such as whey

concentration. With a MWCO of about 200, the XN45 can fractionate

process streams containing mixtures of organics, monovalent

dissolved solids, and sulphates.

The XN45 combines a high specific flux rate with low organic fouling

due to its unique and patented membrane surface chemistry. With

sodium chloride rejections of 10-30%, but over 90% sulphate

rejection, the XN45 is ideally suited for applications requiring low

salt rejection but high organic rejection.

TS80 Operating DataAfter two years of extensive side by side testing against the

competition, the TriSep TS80 nanofiltration membrane was chosen for

its combination of flux retention and rejection by a local municipal

water district. The system did not require cleaning during the first year

of operation.
