This is a different type of presentation.

I’m not here to waste your time. There’s no fluff. There will be no trust-falls or high-five contests and definitely no empty motivational videos.

We’re going to keep it short, sweet, based in science, and hopefully, useful.

The goal is for this to be a nudge and a reminder about how powerful we really are.

It’s about focusing on what we can control and winning the battle between our ears.

It’s about upgrading the way we think about and approach growth.

And maybe most importantly - it’s about improving the way we deal with fear, adversity, pain, and obstacles.

I’m not here to tell you what to do, how to think, or to act like I have all of the answers, because I definitely don’t. I’m just here to share some principles and ideas that I wish I would have known sooner.

IT’S JUNGLE

TIGER TIME

What are two (relevant) skills that, if you developed them, would have the biggest impact on you?____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

TAKING ACTION: How could you go about building these? There will probably be a story or two holding you back and there will definitely be some fear involved - but now you have the tools to beat that. Believe you can grow, put fear in its place, get those reps, fire those pathways - it’s jungle tiger time! (this takes time but it can absolutely be done).

All of this sounds good in theory, but the real magic happens when we start to put it into action. That’s the hard part. It’s really difficult to be a great learner. Nobody is perfect at it - nobody spends 24/7 in the jungle. The idea is to be aware of our choices, the forces that keep us in the zoo, and to work to spend a little more time in the jungle. The jungle tiger learned to survive in the wild by living there.And the same rules apply to us. We become great learners through practice, and action, by spending more time in the jungle. So let’s get started.
