Our Ministry at Trinity

Annual Voters’ Meeting – Monday, January 19 We will hold the annual meeting on Monday, January 19 beginning at 7:00. In

addition to reports about our ministry at Trinity, we will discuss the resolution at the last voters’ meeting to assess whether or not to continue calling a second full-time pastor in light of needs and financial resources.

Thank You for Your Kindness and Gifts! The pastor and the Trinity faculty from TSL thank members for their gifts from the

door offering before Christmas. We thank Christ for the privilege and joy of serving you!

Trinity Men’s Choir All male members of Trinity, high school age and above, are invited to join the Trinity

Men's Choir. All men, regardless of musical talent, are urged to attend our first rehearsal on Tuesday, January 6, at 6 pm. For more information, contact Jim Moeller, Matthew Foxen, Troy Thede, or John Schmoller.

Pioneers Pioneer Parents are reminded that the January meeting dates have been changed and

both meeting will be held off-site. On January 13 the boys will meet at Dale Staude’s to begin work on their pine car and the girls will meet at 1509 Country Club Lane to learn water safety skills. On January 20 the boys and girls will switch places. Check out the Pioneer bulletin board in the Fireside Room.

Women in Service WIS will hold a regular meeting on Thursday at 1:00 in the Conference Room. Pastor

Brauer will present a program. Come and join in Christian fellowship, with coffee, tea, cocoa, and cookies! Hostess will be Kathy Strucely.

First Love Thank You Trinity members again showed their love of God and those in need by generously

donating money and gifts to the First Love at Christmas program. Fifteen families were given the makings for a Christmas dinner, complete with the turkey, along with other food items and household goods. They also received Christmas gifts and gift cards. We especially thank the crew who went shopping and distributed the gifts: Rachel and Matthew McManama, Elroy and Michelle Maas, Shelly Robbins, and Dawn Bittorf. Thank you again, Sandy McManama, First Love at Christmas coordinator

What Goes up, Must Come Down Join us on Saturday, January 10 at 9 am to take down the church Christmas tree.

2015 Offering Envelopes The 2015 offering envelopes are available in the Fireside Room.

Forward in Christ The January issue of Forward in Christ is available to subscribers in the Fireside Room.

New Financial Reporting Method In an effort to communicate more clearly about our financial status, we will no longer

publish a weekly report of offerings in the bulletin. A financial update will be provided in the monthly newsletter instead. As of the end of November, we had received $279,000 in offerings compared to expenses of $257,000. Offerings to this point are about $14,000 less than needed to fully fund our ministry plan, including a second pastor. However, expenses are $36,000 less than budgeted because we have not had a second pastor since July. We pray that God will continue to move the hearts of our members to generously support His work here at Trinity.

Gold! Incense! Myrrh! Gifts given to the little Jesus came from the far corners of the world. Those gifts were carried to Jesus by those who were seeking a King to deliver them from sin, death and hell’s punishment. They came a long way to see him and they prepared for their visit by packing the gifts in their baggage. We may not be as wealthy as they were, but we can bring gifts to Jesus. We can plan ahead too. God gives us an example to follow, “On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income” (1 Corinthians 16:2).
