Our Trinity Ministry Plan On Monday June 8 our voters met to discuss and ratify the Trinity ministry plan (budget) for the next fiscal year Every year our elected and appointed lay leaders on the boards work through their area of the budget and make de-cisions about the estimated expenses to carry out their areas of ministry Much thought and prayer go into these discussions After several questions and answers the voters passed a budget totaling $728479 Most of the min-istry plan is covered in four areas They are as follows
1 Trinity-St Lukersquos Lutheran School ($245944 or 337 of the budget) ndash We support the Christian education of children in Godrsquos Word They grow closer to their Savior and are prepared for lives of serving him 2 Executive area ($194396 or 266 of the budget) ndash We support synod with our Congregational Mission Offering contribute to the ministry of Lake-side Lutheran High School with our commitment and continue paying down our debt 3 Elders area ($183544 or 251 of the budget) ndash We support our pastor and the church secretary We include budgeted amounts for supporting a second pastor when he comes 4 Trustees area ($93905 or 128 of the budget) ndash We support the church janitor and maintain two buildings and properties (the church and the TSL Western Avenue campus)
We pass the budget as an act of faith Hardly any of the dollars are on hand but supplied throughout the year as we together contribute to the Lordrsquos work in which we all share We trust that our gracious Savior will continue to touch our hearts and minds with his Gospel so that we are assured even more of his undeserved love toward us and compelled to respond with love for him and for the mission he has committed to us We take to heart again this lovely expression of what Jesus in his undeserved love has done for us ldquoYou know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that though he was rich yet for your sakes he became poor so that you through his poverty might become richrdquo (2 Corinthians 89) May he continue showing our dear congregation his undeserved love Serving Jesus and you Pastor Brett Brauer
