Via Mail: Your giving envelopes are ready to mail

– just add a stamp and drop them in the mail. For

extra security, you can place it in an envelope

addressed to the church and mail it.

Less Preferable Way

You can drop off your envelope at the church office

from 9am to 1pm daily. Please don’t come if you’re

feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms of illness.

Mark Your Calendar VBS is going Virtual This Year! We’ve made the

difficult decision to host a Virtual VBS this year instead

of our typical in-person VBS. Don’t worry, it will still be

awesome! Using a combination of live and pre-recorded

videos, a packet of lessons and crafts, and your own

imagination, we’ll help you have VBS at home. This

year’s theme is “Rainforest Explorer” and packet pickup

will be Sunday, July 19th. VBS will be held July 19, 22,

26, & 29. In order to have enough materials, we need

you to register now. Registration deadline is June 22.

In-Person Worship Resumes Today! You should have

already received a letter explaining our process for

welcoming you back! Due to social distancing, services

are limited to 50 people and will require pre-registration.

Registration for the upcoming week will be available

beginning at 9am Monday mornings and close at

11:59pm Friday night. Online Services Will Continue

(moving to 8am) for those unable to be here in person.

Adult Bible Study will be live-streamed at 9:15am. A

video explaining our re-opening procedures can be

viewed on our You Tube and Facebook pages.

The Quilter’s Silent Auction is currently on hold.

We’ll resume the auction once we can be together again.

Proceeds will provide funding for Trinity youth to attend

Camp Okoboji. Details will be posted when available.

Camp Okoboji has cancelled summer programs, but are

still renting out the Family Ministry Cabins. See

New Look for IDW Youth Gatherings! The 2020 Jr

High and Sr High Youth Gathering Teams have decided

to cancel the Des Moines gatherings due to the

uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. However, they’re

working to put together a virtual event where youth can

gather at their own church. More details will follow.

Miscellaneous & Resources Cleaning Out Closets? The quilters continue their work

at home and are in need of yarn and flat sheets. They’re

anxiously awaiting the day they can be together again!

Building Healthy Families While Staying Home:

Loneliness and isolation are among the risk factors for

elderly individuals to develop depression. Prior to the

COVID-19 pandemic, elderly folks became isolated due

to the deaths of spouses and peers. With new social

distancing restrictions, it is especially difficult for our

seasoned adults to make connections with friends and

family. Pay attention to our elderly, who have weathered

the tragedies as well as the triumphs of this life for many

generations. Reach out to them. Learn from them. Care

for them. Share your faith and pray with them. You may

be their lifeline through this, and they may be yours.

not when my strength is spent.” Psalm 71:9

Nicene Creed

C I believe in one God, the Father Almighty,

maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible.

P Almighty God, You have blessed us in love with the Savior to whom the nations cry and in whom is forgiveness

who call upon His name shall be saved. Help us to treasure in our hearts Your mercy and to give ourselves fully

P O Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, in giving us Your body and blood to eat and to drink, You lead us to

remember and confess Your holy cross and passion, Your blessed death, Your rest in the tomb, Your resurrection

from the dead, Your ascension into heaven, and Your coming for the final judgment. So remember us in Your

kingdom and teach us to pray:

Celebration of the Lord's Supper

If you are a member of an LCMS congregation we invite you to join us this today for Holy Communion. Lutherans believe that the

celebration of Lord’s Supper is the eating and drinking of the body and blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin and

strengthening of faith. We also believe Holy Communion is a sign of oneness of faith, life, and worship. We ask that if you have

not communed with us before, and would like to receive Communion please visit with one of the elders on duty or one of the

Pastors so that we may be of help to you concerning your participation in this Holy Supper. Anyone is welcome to come forward

to receive a blessing. Simply indicate your desire by crossing your arms over your chest.

Distribution

Distribution of the Lord's Supper will be in the narthex and we will start with the back row and move toward the front. Please come

into the narthex by family unit (anyone who rode to church with you in your car). You will receive a blessing and then will be

dismissed to your car. Please remember to take all of your belongings with you. One hymn will be sung during the distribution.
