Chairmans Corner June 9, 2013Chaparrals Healthcare ministry has purchased an AED(automated external defibrillator) to be placed in the sanctuary narthex;and they are hoping to buy a second one for the Commons building.Although an AED is easy to use, laypersons should have some training.

Look for a future announcement from the Healthcare ministry offering thistype of training. The cost for this device was not in the Churchs regularbudget; so several individuals and groups stepped up to cover it. Onceagain, our Church family shows remarkable generosity. We very muchappreciate all the time and effort our volunteers put into this ministry.Remember, they offer blood pressure checks the first Sunday in everymonth take advantage of this valuable service!" Join us for one day or for All!What a great way to serve our community.

Monday morning we'll be volunteering with St. Mary'sFood Bank from 9-12, the afternoon will be spent prepping forthe next few days.

Tuesday we plan to take House of Hope kids to theChildren's Museum and then do another fun activity thatafternoon.

Wednesday we are going to assemble the OperationChristmas Child boxes and then head out to Globe (ARM)that evening.

Thursday andFriday we will be working withARM on various construction projects and their neighborhoodministry.

All followers of Christ are welcome to participate in our Service of

Communion. If you have prepared yourself for this very special moment with

our Savior, you are invited to his table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please take

the emblems as they are passed and partake when you are ready. Some

prefer to take it while it is in front of them before passing it along.

Offering

In all of our services, a special time for giving is set aside. Participation is an

act of worship and voluntary.

Nursery

We have a friendly, well-staffed and impeccably clean nursery located on

the north side of the narthex. Please see an usher for directions.
