To all present and prospective Jaguar Families, On behalf of the Jaguar Hockey Club Board of Directors and Coaching Staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2015-2016 Fall Hockey Season! This season we will have Squirt through Midget teams in the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL) as well as Northwest Hockey League (NWHL). Our Midget AAA program will also participate in the National Junior Prospects League (NJPHL). The mission of the Jaguars is to focus on team as well as individual play. Both will be developed through clinics and programs of ice hockey, competition emphasizing sportsmanship, cooperation, self-discipline, self-confidence, individual responsibility and respect for others while experiencing the power of quality hockey. The largest change to The Jaguar Hockey Club, as well as across Illinois this year, is at the mite level. Mite hockey has moved away from USA Hockey to avoid limitations in games as well as surface limitations. In order to give our families and players the best experience and development, Mite 8U full ice hockey will be offered through the Jr. Jaguars and will participate in the CUHL (Chicago United Hockey League.)

Travel League Participation

Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL) www.nihl.info

NIHL is the largest youth hockey league in Illinois. Jaguar Hockey Club is happy to announce that our teams brought home the following banners during the 2014-‐2015 season: Squirt Gold A President’s Cup, PeeWee Gold A President’s Cup, 2nd Place Wolves Cup Midget B Elite, 1st Place Wolves Cup Squirt Gold A, and 1st Place Wolves Cup Mite Silver. NIHL teams will have approximately 2-‐3 ice touches per week plus games. Teams will participate in local and out of state tournaments. The Jaguar coaching staff and Hockey Director will work together to determine who are the best players for each team. Decisions will be according to talent. Please note that player positions and playing times are at the discretion of coaching staff. The NWHL consists of team from the following organizations: Admirals, McFetridge River Dogs, Chicago Bruins, Chicago Hawks, Chiefs, Cyclones, Franklin Park Panthers, Glacier, Hoffman Estates Wolfpack, Leafs, Midwest Blackbirds, Niles Rangers, Oak Park Ice Bears, Redwings, Renegades, Rinkside Maulers, Sabres, Saddle & Cycle, and Yellowjackets. Jaguar Hockey teams competing in the NWHL league can travel to any of these teams for game play. We are proud to announce that our 2014-‐2015 PeeWee team brought home a 2nd place banner! NWHL teams will have approximately 1-‐2 ice touches per week and weekend games. The Jaguar coaching staff and Hockey Director will work together to determine who are the best players for each team. Fall 2015-‐2016 Registration Information

Below you will find information regarding Tryouts & Registration

USA Hockey Registration

Before you register with the Jaguars you must complete your 2015-‐2016 USA Hockey Registration. Please note that last year’s number will not work. Any member who registered with USA Hockey on our after April 1, 2015 is eligible for participation from that date through August 31st, 2015.

1. Go to www.usahockeyregistration.com

2. Select “ICE PLAYERS & COACHES” and follow the prompts.

3. The fee is $53 per player. USAH fees are waived for players with birth years 2009 and younger.

You will be given a USA Hockey confirmation number consisting of 9 digits and 5 letters. This number is required to register for the fall season. Please print the confirmation page and keep a copy for your records.

Fall Fees Once a skater is placed on a

team, regular season fees are applied. JHC offers the following

payment options: 1. Payment of fees in full by

check/cash or credit card. A 2% discount will be applies for full CASH/CHECK payments. The 2% discount does not apply to credit card payments.

2. Payment Plan – Families have the option to schedule their fall fees over 5 payments.

3. Multi Skater Discount – 20% will be taken off the 2nd child and 30% off 3rd. Discount applies to lesser fee. Does not apply to goalie fees. Must be registered by 9/15/15.

Goalie Discount (Fall Fees) Goalies will receive a 50% discount on their fall fees. IF they only play as a goalie on their designated team. If your player plays as both a skater & goalie you will be

required to pay the full skater fee.

Jaguar Bash Each family will receive 2 tickets to the Jaguar Bash. The cost of these tickets will be added to your fees. The cost is $60 per

family.

Rinks JHC will be utilizing 2 rink locations for the 2015-‐2016 Fall Season. These rinks will be Inwood, and Canlan (Romeoville). Please note that practice and games can be

scheduled at either location.

Tryout Schedule

Tryouts Tryouts will be 9/1-‐9/5. All dates and times are subject to change due to registration numbers.

Please check the Jaguar website frequently before and during tryouts for up-‐to-‐date information.

It is mandatory that you attend all tryouts sessions for your level. If you are unable to attend a session please contact Greg Stornello or Keri Zschach.

Tryouts will be closed to all parents and fans. Closed tryouts allows players to perform to the best of their ability without distractions

Players will be assigned a pinny number at the beginning of tryouts. Teams will be posted via pinny number 24 hours after the last tryout. Jaguar coaching staff and the Hockey Director will evaluate all players.

Coaching staff and the hockey director will place players at the most beneficial level (team/league) for your child’s development.

Tryout Fee Tryout fees are due prior to the start of

tryouts. If the tryout fee has not been paid the skater will not be allowed to participate. Any player with an

outstanding balance will not be allowed to participate. Please contact Tracy Miranda regarding questions regarding outstanding

balances.

Refund Policy • No refunds will be issued after the

first tryout session. • No refunds will be issued to players

selected for a team who choose not to play.

• No refunds will be issued for jerseys.

• No refunds will be issued to players that do not make a travel team unless the Jaguars are unable to field a team at that level in which case a full refund will be issued.

FUNDRAISING

The Jaguar Hockey Club has carefully selected several highly profitable,

individual fundraising opportunities to help offset travel or house hockey fees.

Yankee Candles – Forms and books will be available at fall tryouts and the product will be delivered before Thanksgiving. Sellers will

earn 40% of the total sales.

Fantasy Hockey Sweepstakes – Tickets will be available at fall tryouts. Sellers will earn

50% profit for each ticket sold.

Pies – Starting in October Cathy’s Sweet Creations Bake Shop will offer pies. Pies will be delivered before Thanksgiving. Sellers will

earn approx. 30% of the total sales.

Banners – Jaguar Hockey Club offers banner sales as a fundraiser to help reduce player fees. All banner sales need to be received no later than October 21st, 2015. Sellers will earn 50% of the banner price purchased.

All fundraising credits will be applied toward your FINAL fall payment. The club treasurer will provide a statement

reflecting your credits.

The Jaguar Hockey Club strives to put forth the most competitive level of hockey at the Tier II level at both the Midget AA and Midget A level. Jaguar Midget AA Team – Fee: $3975 The Jaguar Midget AA Team will play in the U18 Division of the National Junior Prospects League and the Northern Illinois Hockey League. The AA team will also compete in additional local and out-‐of-‐state tournaments, playing at the AA level. Exhibition games will also be scheduled throughout the season. The Jaguar Midget AA Team will also take part in the Blackhawk Cup State Tournament at the end of the season. Estimated 55 game count.

⎯ National Junior Prospects League (NJPHL) website: www.nationaljuniorhockey.com The NJPHL is a showcase league with a total of 5 showcases -‐ 4 regular season (16 games) & 1 playoffs. Showcase events will include three national events that all teams will attend and two regional events. The goal of the NJPHL is to provide exposure to committed midget hockey players seeking the opportunity to advance their careers to the Junior A and College levels.

Jaguar Midget A Team – Fee: $3850 The Jaguar Midget A Team will play in Midget A Division of the Northern Illinois Hockey. The A team will also compete in local and out-‐of-‐state tournaments, playing at the Midget A level. Exhibition games will also be schedule throughout the season. Estimated 55 game count.
