The ECS5000 Series of Layer 2 10-Gigabit switches

offer unparalleled switching capacity, making them

the ideal solution for medium to large-sized data

centers. Designed as a cost effective solution for

today, ECS5000 Series’ switches have the ability to

expand as network demands grow – at no extra cost.

They are designed to overcome the challenges of a

high-traffic-load environment, ensuring that traffic

Products in this Series include the ECS5510-48S,

which is a 48-port 10-Gigabit Ethernet Layer 2 switch

and its smaller sibling the ECS5510-24S with 24

ports, are designed from the ground up to be

deployed in medium to large data centers. With their

unmatched port density, the ECS5510-48S/24S is

ideally suited for converged Ethernet applications

such as 10-Gigabit Ethernet traffic aggregation and

ECS6000 Series - Chassis Switches

The ECS6000 Series of Ethernet switches provides

scalable, compact, high-performance platforms for

supporting high-density 10 Gigabit Ethernet

(10GbE) data center, campus, and service provider

deployments. They are perfectly suited for branch

ECS4600 Series - L3 Gigabit Ethernet Managed Switches

The ECS4600 Series is ideal for service provider edge aggregation,

enterprise wiring closets, data center aggregation, and network core

deployment. The switches bring a high level of security and traffic control to

the edge of your network. They provide high performance, resilient stacking,

wire speed Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing, comprehensive QoS, and

advanced security to deliver scalability and resiliency to increase your

company’s productivity while reducing operation costs.

ECS4600 Series’ switches provide two stacking ports for hardware stacking,

with up to 320Gbps throughput. Any combination of 4600 Series’ units can

be stacked up to 8 units high or to a maximum of 400 ports. The stack acts

as a single switching unit that is managed by a master switch, elected from

one of the member switches. The master switch automatically creates and

updates all the switching and optional routing tables. A working stack can

add new members or delete old ones without service interruption.

ECS4500 Series - L2 Gigabit Ethernet Managed Switches

ECS4500 Series’ switches are ideal for high performance server

aggregations, such as enterprise data centers, to connect high-end or

network attached file servers over copper ports. They allow customers

to build an unified, highly resilient switching system—one switch at a

time facilitating high speed workgroups, backbone upgrades, and

Gigabit to the desktop for power users. An entire switch stack can be

managed as a single entity with a single IP address, offering

advanced administration through on a user-friendly browser interface.

Sophisticated QoS and VLAN support provide great scalability for

mission-critical applications. Switching ports can be aggregated to

create a high bandwidth pipe to the network. Comprehensive

network management functions such as STP/RSTP/MSTP protocol

for standard bridging, SNMP, RMON and advanced security are all

fully supported.

Edge-Core Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) and

access devices are hardware located at the home or

business of customers and connected with a carrier's

telecommunication channel(s) at the demarcation

point (demarc). Ideal for enterprises moving to a

converged network now or in the future, they offer the

resiliency, performance and simplified operational

features you need, while helping to keep on-going

total cost of ownership low.

Edge-Core’s solutions include digital subscriber line

(DSL), other broadband Internet routers, and custom-

ized hardware for service provider, wireline, or

wireless carrier.

The Edge-Core EC3800 Series of Access/CPE

devices include the EC3805 and EC3805F. The

EC3805 and EC3805F differ only in their physical

(PHY) layer connections: copper and fiber respec-

tively. The EC3805 is best suited for Ethernet to the

Home (ETTH) or Ethernet to the Building (ETTB)

deployments, within 100 meters. The result is the

minimum cost to deliver high performance triple play

services for both home and business customers.

EC3805F is ideal for Fiber to the Home (FTTH) or

Fiber to the Building (FTTB) deployments.

PoE

Edge-Core Managed PoE switches are ideal for

desktop Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and for

powering devices such as IP phones, wireless access

points, surveillance cameras, etc., and for delivering

data and power simultaneously over existing CAT 5

cables.

The PoE function allows up to 7.5W or 15.4W

maximum per port, offering a good solution for

VoIP/wireless or other devices that support PoE IEEE

802.3af. ES3528MF-PoE is the first model offering the

PoE+ feature, which is an extension of the IEEE

802.3at standard that delivers up to 30 Watts per port.

The PoE+ feature is designed to meet customers’

needs for immediate requirements for Power over

Ethernet in excess of 30W per port to enable them to

install new technologies that require it, such as IEEE

802.11n wireless infrastructure.

The RPS600WA is a Redundant Power Supply that protects your network

against unforeseen events by supplying power to devices the instant they

begin to fail and increases reliability for converged data, voice, and video

networks.

Each RPS600WA supplies a maximum capacity of 600 Watts to four

switches, making it ideally suited to support a number of Edge-Core

switches.

Additional features include:

Thermal overload protection that prevents the RPS from overheating.

Over-voltage protection shuts down an output channel if the

voltage exceeds a preset threshold (12.3 V).

Over-current protection shuts down the RPS if the output load

exceeds a preset threshold (14.5 A).

Short-circuit protection prevents the RPS from being damaged

from a short circuit on any output channel.

Each day worldwide hundreds of millions of people

use Wi-Fi. With the myriad technologies, users

expect Wi-Fi to be available in a multitude of places,

from coffee shops and restaurants to airports and

trains. Yet, Wi-Fi technology was developed primarily

to enable wireless data networking in local areas. As
