Application: The information contained in this bulletin applies only if you encounter the

symptom(s) listed below. Subject: Firmware Updating

Symptom: Unable to delete individual digital sub-channels from the channel memory. Incorrect time zone displayed in the customer menu when tuning analog channels.

Cause: Firmware requires update Solution: Update firmware to version 1.06 (or above). Firmware updating will require

the use of a PC, Service Firmware Update Tool and individual firmware as defined by specific model. Firmware version may be identified through the customer menu under “system status”. Update the firmware using the following:

1) “2008 Service Firmware Update Tool” Part Number 2008FWKT01 2) “Firmware Update Disc” Part Number 2008FW0106 (Note: Part Number 2008FW0106 includes all firmware update files to update models

19AV500U, 26AV500U, 32AV500U, 37AV500U and 42AV500U) Important Note: Firmware Updating of the indicated models requires use of both the

“2008 Service Firmware Update Tool” and the “Firmware Update Disc.”
