Comments: Water surfaced the morning of 1-01-16(see pictures). The water main was isolated

by closing 2 valves on East H and 17th(see map). 8" main was excavated with backhoe and Vactor, 24" area

centered over break was cleaned, and a 8" repair clamp was used to temporarily fix break over the weekend.

2 concrete blankets were used to keep main from freezing until permanent repairs could be made.

Jan 4- 2016 we shut down main , removed repair clamp, used chainsaw to remove a 20" section of main and

added a dresser coupler and cut in sleeve attached with 3 megalug mj's for a permanent repair(see Pics).

Opened the 2 closed valves and flushed out hydrant to aid in air removal in main. Backfilled with dirt and

based the dig area to street level. When weather permits, the affected concrete and asphalt areas from the

water leak will be removed and replaced.
