Mood Indigo, popularly known as MoodI or MI, is the annual cultural festival of the Indian Institute of Technology

Bombay. Held during the month of December every year, MoodI attracts considerable media attention and numerous well-

known sponsors. The MoodI started in 1971 student-run non-profit organization and since then the popularity has soared

skywards.

2. Spring Fest, IIT Kharagpur

The Spring fest of IIT Kharagpur takes place in the third week of January. Students from Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar and

nearby colleges flock to the fest. The four-day festival features rock bands, international artists and interactives games for

the colleges. The first edition was held in 1960 and 57th edition of Spring Fest is scheduled to be held from January 29 to

February 1, 2016.

3. Incident, NIT Karnataka

Incident is the annual cultural festival of the National Institute of Technology Karnataka. The fest is a five-day-long event

during the even semester of the NITK Calendar held in the month of March. The fest was started by the students of the

college led by Umar Teekay during the 1980s, and has been continued and amplified every year since. The fest brings

together students from different colleges all over India and is composed of several competitive events as well as pro-shows

by big artists including Sunidhi Chauhan, Salim Suleiman and Javed Ali.

4. Oasis, Bits Pilani Hyderabad

Oasis is a cultural festival conducted annually since 1971 by the students of BITS Pilani India. Organised one week prior to

Diwali, the festival attracts more than 200 colleges from across the country. Usually held in October, it attracts thousands

of outside participants. Events include music, drama, dance, stage and fashion shows and treasure hunts.

5. Alcheringa, IIT Guwahati

Alcheringa, popularly known as 'Alcher', is the annual cultural festival of IIT, Guwahati. It was started in 1996 by a group of

students. Since then, it has gone on to become one of the biggest college level cultural events in Asia. Alcheringa is

conducted towards the end of January every year. Spread across 3 days and 4 nights, it attracts people from all over the

world with its spectacular events and competitions.

there are some good joints around panbazar. We visited a few temples and Kaziranga from here. You can also taste the

competition, companionship and leadership skills.

festivals in India. It is a four-day-long festival, attracting participation from over 200 colleges of India. It includes

professional shows, competitions, amateur rock bands, Ustads and Pandits, fashion shows, Indian folk dances, and other

events.

Ragam is the annual inter-college fest conducted by the National Institute of Technology, Calicut. Ragam blends a series of

fine-arts, socio-cultural and literary events, along with a variety of workshops, exhibitions and informal events. The festattracts thousands of visitors to the campus annually, and is one of the biggest cultural fests in India.

the momos and dal makhani and kababs practically everywhere. Lot of breweries and the fact that most of the hill

stations are near to this place, makes it all the more amazing.”
