NCCCO CERTIFICATION – Mobile Crane Operator The base course for this certification is 2 days and is designed for experienced Mobile Crane Operators.We offer all Mobile Specialities: Lattice Boom Crawler (LBC), Lattice Boom Truck (LBT), Telescopic Boom –Swing Cab (TLL), Telescopic Boom – Fixed Cab (TSS), and Boom Truck – Fixed Cab (BTF).The written and practical exam are included.Overhead Crane Operator This prep class takes 2 days including both the written and practical exams. Service Truck Crane Operator This prep class takes 1 day including both the written and practical exams. Articulating CraneThis prep class takes 1 day including both the written and practical exams.
NCCCO CRANE INSPECTION TRAINING – Overhead Crane Inspector (3 days)Mobile Crane Inspector (4 days)Students will learn the applicable OSHA, ASME and CMAA regulations, proper inspection procedures, deficiencies, and how to properly perform load tests. * A refresher class will be required every 5 years in order for inspectors to remain current.
QUALIFIED RIGGER / SIGNALPERSON – This training meets the requirements laid out in the OSHA 1926.1400 crane regulations stating that all Riggers and Signalpersons must be qualified. This course is 1 day in length, but can also be adjusted to meet your needs. It covers hand and voice signals, basic crane operation and limitations, rigging inspection & removal from service, and basic use of slings. We also talk about how low sling angles affect sling tension.
QUALIFIED CRANE OPERATOR TRAINING – This program is for companies that don’t fall under the OSHA construction regulations. Mobile Crane Operator The base course is 2 days of training. This training includes 1 day of classroom time discussing regulation and load chart calculation. The second day is spent out on the crane, performing frequent inspections along with safe operating techniques.Overhead Crane Operator This course takes 1 day and includes both the written and practical exams. This training includes classroom time discussing regulations and load chart calculation. Time is spent on the crane, performing frequent inspections along with safe operating techniques. We usually pair Qualified Rigger / Signalperson with this training. The candidates will get certificates of training for both Qualified Overhead Crane Operator and Rigger after successfully completing this training and passing the tests.Service Truck Crane Operator This course is 1 day long. We discuss the hazards of side loading booms, proper outrigger use, and load chart calculation. Each candidate will complete a written exam and a practical exam.
