Students will parƟcipate in classroom instrucƟon and hands‐on workshops for: slings, rigging, hardware, sling tension, angles, center of gravity consideraƟons, sling protecƟon, knot tying and an overview of signal person responsibiliƟes. A pracƟce test is administered, with a discussion of test answers and a review of course materials. Upon compleƟon, students will be not only be prepared for third party tesƟng, but more importantly, acquire the knowledge necessary for the competent performance of Level 1 Rigger duƟes. For NCCCO Rigger Level 1 and Rigger Level 2 CerƟficaƟon Preparatory Training, the wriƩen exam is administered by NCCCO . ParƟcipants can also complete the wriƩen NCCCO test at an approved Computer Based, TesƟng (CBT) Center within 12 months. We administer the pracƟcal exams for Rigger Levels 1 and 2. NCCCO RIGGER LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATION PREPARATORY TRAINING ‐ 16 Hours NCCCO Rigger Level 2 CerƟficaƟon Preparatory Training prepares students for the successful compleƟon of Level 2 Rigger cerƟficaƟon tesƟng. Students will parƟcipate in extensive studies in sling hitch applicaƟons, calculaƟons for off‐set centers of gravity and determinaƟon of load weight distribuƟon. AddiƟonally, students will learn methods of determining sling tension, driŌing and rotaƟng suspended loads. A pracƟce test is administered, with a discussion of test answers and a review of course materials. Classroom and hands‐on workshops are uƟlized to prepare students for third party tesƟng and acquiring the necessary knowledge for the competent performance of Level 2 Rigger duƟes. Candidates that are not Level 1 CerƟfied can aƩend, but are not allowed to parƟcipate in Level 2 tesƟng.
