Since our birth, we have been programmed to adapt to external expectations, from our loved ones, our environment, community and culture. Even when we enter in a yoga class, we are doing our best to fulfill our teacher’s expectations, or try to do like everyone else, trying to be one with our surrounding. Sometimes it happens peacefully, yet, sometimes we feel a gap between who we try to be, and who we truly are. It can become a source of stress. Experience yoga from within. Begin with a moment of contemplation, and observation where you are at this time, passing through the Cycle of Creativity-Energy: Air: How deep is your breath, what is it’s rhythm, where are your thoughts, is your mind, breath scattered, peaceful, balanced? Fire: What is the rhythm of your heart, feel the pulse of life within you. Is your energy, the inner fire, up, or down? Water: How are you feeling at this time, are you emotional, sensitive, happy, sad, excited? Earth: How does your physical body feel? Is there any tension, tightness, weakness? Ether: Take a moment to make peace with where you are at this time. Allow the interconnectedness of the five bodies. Contemplate, Contain. From a space of acceptance of what “IS” clarify what is your main intention, here, now. Begin to lead your practice from this intention, into the five bodies: your breath, your movements, the flow and embodiment, settling into the asanas with integrity and oneness. Find your pose within the pose!

Find your way into the pose, the same way you find your way into life. The Map of Transcendence guides you to find the way.

Begin with a moment of contemplation, and observation where you are at this time, passing through the Cycle of Creativity-Energy:

Air: How deep is your breath, what is it’s rhythm, where are your thoughts, is your mind, breath scattered, peaceful, balanced?

Namaste,

Christelle Chopard
