Message from the President

It feels like fall in the Reno area but that doesn't mean show season is over just yet! The fun keeps rolling for a few more weeks with shows at Brownlee Equestrian and Ironwood Events Center to wrap up the year. With this horse

show season lasting a little longer, we are looking forward to more opportunities to grow and practice the skills we have learned throughout the season so far! And earning those last few points towards division awards doesn't hurt either! :)

This year has been full of some amazing opportunities for our members and I would like to take a moment to wish the best of luck to all of our riders and horses that are going to Las Vegas next month to represent SNHSA in the USHJA Affiliate Hunter Championships! We are proud of your hard work throughout the season to earn your spots and will be cheering you all on in November!

~ SNHSA Barn News ~

Meadow View Farms Sarah and Lynn Mullins 2600 Rhodes Road, Reno 775-745-2753 or 775-830-8979 www.meadowviewfarms.biz

MVF would like to thank everyone who participated in the Tonya Johnston clinic and our final SNHSA show of the year- we loved working with Tonya! Her positive attitude and wisdom helped us all to learn a little bit more about ourselves, our horses, and our sport.

We then had a great few weeks at the Sacramento International Welcome Week, as well as the Fall Festival. Leslie and Udo continued to impress, making the work-off for most the medals they entered throughout the 2 weeks, and then galloped around for 6th in the $5,000 Cloverleaf Jumpers! McKenna and G Star made their debut, having some great rounds throughout the 2 weeks, and McKenna and Espoir d'Usance stepped up to the 3'6 medals with ease.

The highlight for everyone was taking our mini, Lexi, to the show! She walked courses, did add/scratches in the show office, became a model for NorCal, ordered coffees, picked prizes, shopped for tack and ate a lot of treats!

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT

~ Meadow View Farms ~ Sarah & Lynn Mullins

2018 Sponsor of Children's/Adult

Amateur Modified Hunters

How long has your company been in existence? Meadow View Farms has been in business since 1988, so we are celebrating our 30th year! What prompted you to start this business? Our love and passion for horses, of course! :) What service/product(s) do you offer? We offer a full boarding and training program, and we are proud of the fact that our clients stay for years, and the friendships built here are enduring.

By emphasizing horse welfare, cultivating individual strengths, nurturing talent, and fostering hard work and dedication, MVF horses and riders have achieved high levels of success over the years. At the same time, MVF emphasizes much more than winning... Our sincere hope is that our barn provides a place where success is built on respect for the amazing animals who try their hearts out, and respect for one another. We strive to be a refuge from all the chaos of life! We are about building a barn family... Our riders encourage one another and enjoy being together. They develop strong connections and look forward to coming to the barn not only to ride but also to spend time with their horses and with each other. We look forward to seeing our riders that have gone off to college returning to

the barn every chance they get.

Where is your company located? We are located at 2600 Rhodes Rd. in the beautiful Steamboat Valley. We are not sure who loves our facility more - the people, or the horses - and we are so grateful to have such an amazing place to work out of! What is your contact information should someone want to call you or email you for questions or even orders/service? Do you have a website? You can contact Lynn at 775-745-2753, [email protected] or Sarah at 775-830-8979, [email protected]. Our website is www.meadowviewfarms.biz

Can you tell me something interesting about your business? In our spare time (not that any trainer really has that!) we have a passion for giving back to the community, and animal rescue. We have made it our goal to make the most of the MVF facility, hosting our 7th Annual Charity Horse Show this year, as well as using the space we have to adopt animals. Our clients are great supporters of both causes, and love helping us with all of the animals as we teach them about love and kindness. We currently have dogs, chickens, horses, and a mini horse and they have brought so much joy to all of our lives - there is never a dull moment around here! Anything else you would like to share? We are proud supporters of SNHSA and grateful to have an organization like

this for our equestrian community! Thank you for all that you do!
