GENERAL INFORMATIONScope of the meetingThis meeting will bring together (hemato)pathologists interested in bone marrow pathology from all over the world, as well as hematologists, oncologists, molecular biologists and residents in pathology. Professionals attending this meeting will benefit from high-level scientific presentations, knowledge sharing and networking opportunities, with the overall goal of promoting more accurate diagnostics and potential treatment options of these diseases.

Meeting scheduleThe bi-annual meeting will be spread over four calendar days, May 27, 28, 29 and 30 (Saturday afternoon – Tuesday morning), with a beginner’s course “Bone Marrow for Beginners”, followed by a welcome reception on Saturday May 27, 2017 in the historic University Hall. The meeting proper will last from May 28-30 in TivoliVredenburg. At Sunday evening there will be a faculty dinner and the meeting dinner will be held on Monday evening.

Session themes and topicsThe meeting will address difficult areas in bone marrow pathology as well as the newest insights and developments in this field. There will be amongst others (key note) lectures on the new WHO 2016 and the impact of new technical developments such as next generation sequencing. In addition, workshops will be held in which selected cases submitted by the participants will be presented by means of digitalized slides. This year’s theme for the workshops is “Cytopenia and Dysplasia”. The overview below provides in more detail the themes and topics to be addressed during this 13th EBMWG International Course and Workshop on Bone Marrow Pathology 2017.

Target audienceThis meeting will bring together (hemato)pathologists interested in bone marrow pathology from all over the world, as well as hematologists, oncologists, molecular biologists and residents in pathology.

CMEThe 13th EBMWG International Course and Workshop on Bone Marrow Pathology 2017 organizers will submit applications for CME credits for medical specialists by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACC ME). The EACC ME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). Through an agreement between the UEMS and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACC ME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

POLICIES AND DISCLAIMERConfirmation and paymentA sponsoring arrangement will be confirmed in writing between Congress by design, based in The Netherlands, acting on behalf of European Bone Marrow Working Group and the sponsoring/supporting entity. An invoice with payment details will be sent to the sponsoring/supporting entity, and payment will then be expected within 4 weeks of invoice date. All amounts mentioned in this document are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added as applicable according to tax legislation.

Exhibition policyIf benefits granted to the sponsor/supporter include the opportunity to exhibit at the meeting venue, the sponsoring/supporting organization and its agent(s) must comply with the rules and regulations governing the meeting exhibition, as detailed in the exhibition manual or imposed by the venue. The exhibition manual and rules and regulations imposed by the venue will be provided to sponsoring/supporting organizations at least 6 weeks before the opening date of the meeting.

Cancellation policyIn case of cancellation of a sponsoring arrangement by the sponsoring organization, a cancellation fee of 25% of the total agreed sponsoring fee applies if the cancellation notice is received more than three months before the opening date of the 13th EBMWG International Course and Workshop on Bone Marrow Pathology 2017. If the cancellation notice is received three months or less before the opening date of the meeting, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total agreed sponsoring fee applies. Cancellation notices must be sent in writing to the meeting Secretariat.
