To my little David,

Love, your big sister.

You have the love, strenght and courage to defeat your Goliaths.

Don’t be afraid to dream God-sized dreams.

Tiny Octopus lived in a very big place called the Pacific Ocean.

Tiny loved his home because it had plenty of space where him and his friends could play.

One afternoon, Tiny’s friends came looking for him so that they could play finball. Tiny had never played finball before, but since his friends insisted, he decided he would play.

Tiny’s friend, Donna the dolphin, was really good at finball because she could hit the ball really hard with her long tail.

Jack the shark was also a really good player because he could swim faster than everyone else.

And Willie the whale was so big, he could block anyone who was trying to score.

But Tiny was not tall, fast, nor big. He was just tiny. Donna, Jack and Willie noticed that Tiny was sad and because they cared about him, they suggested they play another game.

POP!

“I know!” said Donna, “we could play hide and seek!”. “Yes!” Willie and Jack shouted, but Tiny felt too small to do anything. “Come on Tiny, don’t be sad. We’ll have fun!” said Donna “I will count till ten and you all hide”. So Donna started counting “1...2...”

Willie found a rock and decided to hide behind it.

Jack found a field of sea weed and hid in it.

Tiny thought long about where he would hide. He found an open shell and hid there.

When Donna was done counting, she went looking for the others. First, she found Willie, then she found Jack, but when she went looking for Tiny no one could find him.

Donna, Jack and Willie all went looking for Tiny, but Tiny was in such a small hiding place that none of them thought of looking there. All three of them finally got tired of looking and so they said “Come out Tiny, we give up”.

And Tiny came out of the shell excited that he had won the game. “You see Tiny, sometimes being small is really helpful” said Jack the shark. “Yes Tiny, you can do some things that none of us can do because we are too big” said Willie the whale.

Tiny realized that different sizes are good for different things and he no longer felt bad for being small. All four of them decided to play again but this time they had some new friends join them.
