Timeline• 1 Kings 6:1 Temple began to be built 480 years
after the Exodus in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign.
• Solomon’s reign began about 970 so the Temple building began about 966.
• 966 + 480 = 1446 B.C. as year of the Exodus. 40 years of wilderness wandering later, the conquest of Canaan was about 1406.

• Judges 11:26 Jephthah (ca. 1100 B.C.) claims to be 300 years after the conquest. The also puts the conquest at about 1400 and the Exodus at about 1440.
